    Jim,
What day are you heading down? We'll be traveling I-81 on Wednesday. Not sure where we'll eat en route, but might hit The Filling Station in Bryson City once we get down there

I'm leaving Tuesday down I-75. I always stop at Corbin, KY, on my way down and back, for some great BBQ, at Sonny's [first exit down, second on the way home]. While at MOTD, the Wildwood Grill at Fontana is really great, and it's nice to sit on the porch and watch all the activity while eating and socializing, too. The restaurant at the hotel serves excellent food, too, although it's a bit pricey. The breakfasts there are also good, and they have a decent buffet, as well.

My experience at the Lodge restaurant for breakfast wasn't exactly great. First to arrive, mentioned we were on a tight timeline, took almost an hour to get food. Yet those that arrived after us were fed and out the door before we were served :confused5:

I'll leave sometime Wednesday, but I spend the night in Roanoke, as I have family there. I will arrive at MOTD around 10:30 AM on Thursday.

How about lunch there on Thursday? Will be having WMW doing some stuff to my car so I'll have time to kill before I have to work in registration.

You're on, buddy! We'll bring Putterfarm along and anyone else from the G4 crowd, too.

Lunches are best served at the Wildwood Cafe, and I plan to be dining there throughout the week. The hotel has a good breakfast fare [buffet or ordered from the menu], and even though their dinners are pricey, they are worth the dinero.
