It’s funny, I missed last year for the first time......but 2019 MOTD is happening May 1-5, 2019 and I can’t wait!
2018 thread...bring beer 2019 thread...bring beer 2020....yup, bring beer. Oh and make sure your car is prepped for a week of fun driving.
Prepped, HELL..I just want mine to be running! The more something gets fixed, the more something else needs fixing this year. It's kinda disheartening, since I try to keep ALL my MINIs in good running order. I guess that this year will be an exception, but, we won't be worrying about that anymore.
I’m in the same boat with the R53. I have keeper everything in good order but all of a sudden everything is braking!
All I have to do is put on my new G-Lock brake pads front and rear. R8’s on all four corners, fresh brake flush and a quick alignment check. Oh also put the lite and sticky Summer Dragon tires on.
Yea, I was behind the ball. That said, this thread was started Thursday (thanks @colinmini ) In the past we needed to create new forums for each year. With the new platform, we can keep all the MOTD stuff in one forum and just attach prefix for filtering if you want to see a specific year and build on the threads that are relevant every year like the emergency kit thread. Lets see how it goes, I like that going forward all MOTD information will be in one place compared to spread out across the site. I could even pull in the archives if people like the format. If not, I can split out each year like its been done in the past.
Rufus goes off for a new clutch, LSD and PS pump next week! An oil change when he comes back and that should be done!
Good grief you two are like two old lady's! He didn't say he was going to drink and drive the dragon! I am sure he will keep it in the cup holder when he is driving.
I had the same preparation plans as Goldsmithy this weekend... I bought something new to me... Jamieson's Irish aged in stout beer barrels. I also found out Barry's favorite adult beverage and picked up a bottle for him. After all of the great memories I've gotten and the annual crap he collects from people who don't realize what a PITA it is to pull an event of this size off (not to mention all of the steps he does every year), I figure he's earned a bottle!
