Thats great thats it reopening but I kinda liked the fact there was no thru traffic, no tractor trailers, and only two Leos you had to be concerned about, I really didn't mind the detour, the Skyway is a awsome road as well.
As this year was my first, is it a lot harder to drive with it open to through traffic? It seems like it would be. How much traffic does that road get normally? Are there times that are better then others?
The road is almost completely empty at dawn. You have to be careful as the road might have a bit of dew on it and be slippery in spots, but it is wonderfully fun. I get up with the sun (and as the other MINI engines start revving), make a few hard runs to get it out of my system and then enjoy the rest of the day at Fontana or on group runs.
