    I will get to the motel late Tuesday. I don't know how to pack 'light' so I am bringing my trailer. Of course, that means getting it registered as I forgot over the winter. I HATE THE DMV. Will be at Fontana bright and early Wed morning for my appt. with Detroit Tuned and to hang out at the tent. And then...and then...a LOT of driving. Has anyone ever taken the train ride from Bryson city?

    Had the oil changed. New tires. New wing won't be here in time. Getting it detailed Monday or Tuesday.
    Snatching my Grandson from school at noon Wednesday and will stay in the Asheville area that night. Should roll into Fontana before lunch Thursday. First long trip with the new tune so I'll see how it likes the long stretch on I-40.

    We will arrive sometime late Tuesday afternoon or early evening and we are checking out Friday morning. I just have to top off the Cooper, pack up the cigars and my suitcase.

    Been awhile since I’ve been on, but we are meeting up with the Jersey crew in Hickory and rollin out about 10:30 Wednesday morning!

    Just a note for anyone traveling I-40 west from about exit 106 up to about 82 there are starting road construction so just be aware of extra Police presence and possible delays.

    Coming in very late Thursday night or very early Friday morning. Staying through Sunday. List of car items:

    Required:
    1. Fix O2 Sensor - it should arrive today.
    2. Check Fluids - possibly need to change oil.
    3. Replace carbon fiber door handles. (clear coat failed)
    4. Install P3 gauge.. ideally install the gauge and the analog boost sensor (i.e. so pulls true read, not OBD2 signal)
    5. Install GP wing - now fixed
    6. Top off Meth..
    7. Go through engine bay etc.. see if any pending issues I need to clean up.
    8. Detail car
    Optional.. but really want to get done:
    1. Remove front splitter that is too small
    2. Figure out some fitment issue on the front.. will add pics to my build thread as I start working on it
    3. Fix a few odds and ends I found that I want to clean up (not required by would be nice)
    4. Replace gas carbon cap... not sure if I'm going to do that or not yet.. but have it here.
    5. Install door lights (optional).. one of mine has junk in it and looks like poo when you open the door. (I have the MINI logo lights)
    Going to be a busy bee next couple days. :D

    (214) My facebook feed is filling up with pics from Fontana... making it very hard to concentrate on work for Mon and Tues.

    394 If anyone at Fontana needs parts or tools, let me know... I could hit MINI of Charlotte on Wednesday morning if needed, before I head towards Fontana, or countless auto parts stores near the house.

    I'll also be passing a dealership on Friday morning after the Donut run. I could grab something for you there and deliver it to Fontana around 3-4pm on Friday, if needed. I'll be in Cabin 1018 starting Wednesday afternoon.

    Heading up Tuesday morning. I won't have much to do until I can check in to my cabin at 3. Who'll be up there already? I'll need a place to drink beer :) I've been ready since the second week of May last year.

    I'm ready! I've only been working to get the car ready since last September or so...

    I've got the car packed. I only need clothes and a couple of cold groceries and I'm ready to go.

    I'll, be Harding out from Charlotte on Wednesday morning. If the weather is nice, I'm going to take a part of the Blue Ridge Pakway on my way there.

    Our group will roll in Monday morning and we always get into our cabin way before 3 pm. Since Fontana is almost 100% sold out / full the staff will check you in early as long as your cabin is clean and ready.

    Make sure if you get in early and need a place to have a cold beer stop on by our place.
