I'll try and keep my road rage in check! I've got a busy day tomorrow and several things that I wanted to get done this weekend, so I'll let you know for sure tomorrow evening.
Was at the tint shop longer then expected yesterday, so need to finish up my other "to do" list items today. Have fun and maybe give a state of the roads update when you get back.
The run was fun. The weather was perfect. There was hardly anyone else on the roads. The roads are dirty, as in gravel and debris in the corners. Dave had a little moment in a corner.
Some good spring rains should help wash away some of the gravel. Sounds like they are in better shape then the roads around here. I can't believe how much this winter tore up the roads!
Nick I found the condition of the roads the same in southern Ohio. The winter tore them up. What has been patched has been done poorly. Lots of sand grit & coal cinders on every apex. Only one pot hole where a bridge is missing. I'm sure hoping the roads get better by May 24.
Was just told about the Federal fines by some cycle riding friends that just did the Natchez Trace. They are brutal. Good advice to keep an eye on the big clock.
It occurred on rte 374 (a few short miles from rte 33), just past that tight 2nd gear right hander (you know which turn I'm talking about), and just up the side of the hill where it breaks left. That's where I found gravel. Huh. Never had the car lose traction on all four tires before (in the dry anyway). It was weird cause the car felt like it was rotating about its center rather than just the tail sliding out. I did about a 90 degree pivot in the middle of the turn. No harm no foul, but it did me me pause for a while after that.
