Got the delivery attempted notice yesterday for one of the components I'm waiting for for the next big mod. That makes 2/3 of the project almost in hand. Just keeping my fingers crossed that the third and most critical component gets itself on the truck and delivered by the middle of next week so I have time to install before leaving for Fontana.

 

I guess I should think about starting to figure out the list of stuff I should bring. I'm only leaving tomorrow. Plenty of packing time left.

 

Hopefully getting my run-ins with the law out of the way.

Was snagged for doing 70 in a 50 this morning. Luckily was let off with a 'Failure to obey posted sign' offense.

 

I got home at 6PM.

I averaged 77 MPH on the way home, from the Shell on 321 after the Foothills Parkway to my garage. Not bad.

 

plug kit, tire slime, compressor,(no spare) serpentine belt and some basic tools, Bentley; just in case something happens between here and there

other than that, if its something I can't fix, there is someone at the Dragon who can...Helix, DT, Way, and the rest, those boys put in some hours up there! They've saved more than one person's trip I guarantee

 

I just keep replacing and ordering "stuff" I am so excited I think my wife is going to kill me if i mention it again!. Last time I did the Dragon it was on a Honda Valkyrie so this should be a different experience. This is the first real vacation out of town in several years.

I've been driving the $#!T out of the Porker, trying to get the oil change light to come on! Just for the pre trip freebie.

What am I doing to get ready for the Dragon? I have to make a vat of spaghetti sauce next week.

 

I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I pick my -new to me-2005 R52 S convertible on Sat., April 25 and drive 200 miles home. Sunday, detail the car. Monday, change the oil,brake fluid and coolant--get satellite radio installed. Tuesday, new tire and wheel alignment. Wed.-leave at 6:30am for the Dragon - WOO-HOO :fingerscrossed::lol:

 

Just set my work schedule for this month. Looking like MOTD 2015 is a go.

Planning on heading down early Thursday morning, should be down there Thursday afternoon. Fingers crossed.
