Anyone ever replaced the driver side diff outer seal? I have procrastinated to fix it.

Is this just a outer seal or is there a inner seal also?

Alldata has little to no information on this. Mainly on replacing the clutch etc...

It's an easy job, no need to fret.

Take the wheel off, remove the 32mm axle nut, pop the ball joint and tie rod loose, then use a prybar or axle popper to pop the axle out of the case.

Once the axle's out, pull the old seal, clean the surface and tap the new one in. Reassemble. Just remember to torque all fasteners.

Shouldn't take longer than 2 hours as a driveway job.

    Nkfry -

Thanks brotha just looked at the car again after reading. You're right doesn't seem hard.

Should I buy more axle / CV grease when I re-install it?

No CV grease is needed unless you tear the CV boot.

You shouldn't need trans fluid either, just make sure the car's jacked up evenly in the front.
