Interior 1st Gen Driver's door microswitch location?

    I am thinking that my driver's door microswitch has failed, but I cannot find where it is physically in my Bentley manual. Anyone know where it is located?

    in the door latch

    It is built into the door latch assembly

    Thanks for the quick response. Do you know if the switch can be replaced or does it have to be the whole latch assembly?

    you have to replace the entire latch assy
