I didn't drive it. I was the passenger, but I never needed to grab the "oh crap" handle because both Chuck and I were pretty much wedged into the cabin like sardines in a can! I think the auto-start-stop is standard. Chuck drove it and we traveled on cityand country roadways. For a 3 cylinder Cooper, it has some pep at the start and even after the first auto gear changes. Chuck commented that if he were ever to sell his R53, that he would bet a Cooper, so, I guess he was impressed with the acceleration and torque.

Since 4 wheel drive (AWD) is for soccer Moms in little SUV's that need to park half way on someone's lawn so little Johnny and Mommy don't have to walk so far to the field because they are running late again. They don't want to get stuck on the lawn.
AWD is great but in the end it uses more fuel and isn't fuel mileage why most new MINI owners buy an MINI. It sure as hell cant be for the looks.
Or are you talking about real rally drivers?
Ok rant over, MOTOR ON, Ooops carry on-

Some of us actually have a use for 4WD or AWD though...
Two wheel (front or rear) isnt going to get me to where I want to go on the weekends...
Also had an EVO VIII, that had AWD so it could make better use of all that power.
Not saying there is going to be any F56's running around with 500 or more HP to need it, but it would be nice. Or they could just put AWD in the F56 to make sure you can get it to the edge of the cliff before making it less ugly!-

So I just got back from the mini deal. A young salesman helped me, I mean young. very polity I was impressed. I asked about the 3rd gen he told me they had two in the back. So we went back to look at them, thats when his phone rang. It was his boss. He wasn't pleased that I was being shown the cars because they can't sale then. I told the salesman that, that only applied to the pooper. Oh sorry Cooper. Anyway they still had the wrappers on them so it was hard to tell. He was excited about them, even ordered a S for himself.
Got back to my Mini and he wanted to take a look at it, asked a few questions.
Nice guy said he would call when I can drive one.-

Oh my gosh!!!!!! I have not been on NAM in over a year, but thought I would check out what they were saying about the F56. I could not believe that it was NOT getting bashed there as badly as it is here. How can that possibly be true?????

That said, your Justa may be faster...and then, maybe not. Yours is modded, but so is mine. However, I will STILL keep mine longer that you will yours, especially since you are looking at an F56 now.:ihih:-
