I hit/crossed some RR tracks on the way home (at 40 mph, but 18" RFT setup) and the DTC/DSC warning light came on (yellow). A quick inspection showed no OBVIOUS damage, and I'll be looking more closely tomorrow, but...

Any thoughts what I should be looking for? And no, I didn't shut-off and restart the car yet (I was too tired and it was too hot [100F] for car fun this evening). I'll do that in the cool of the morning, Bentley in-hand.

Did it stay on or go back off? If it only came on then went back off, you probably lost traction as you bounded over the tracks. Should not be an issue. If it stayed on then that's another story.

Stayed on, unfortunately. In an hour or so I'll start the investigation.

Just went out in the morning dark, started the car, and no fault lights illuminated. Must have reset itself. Read some BMW chatter about this happening last night, with similar results.

If I believed in luck, I'd cross my fingers that that's all it is.

Sometimes the DSC system just loses it's mind until reset - often after losing traction, or after a big bounce. Mine does it occasionally. I don't sweat it.

Other than BMWs, MINIs are the most 'paranoia inducing' cars I have ever owned. Must be a common thread (no gauges, lots of warning lights, "This problem is above you.").

Or just the FEAR Of a $2000 repair for something to that seems minor.....
