Southbound, that was pretty much your only choice (except for the grocery store).

Hope you had fun in Waco and San Antonio. Sorry I missed you!

The Feral Hog Highway from Lockhart to Seguin is 85 mph, but the Jake Pickle Expressway in only 80 (or, 85 as indicated on a MINI speedometer).

"Yee hah!" as we say here 'bouts.

:cornut: There's more to the story of the Hogg Hwy. It's named of course after Gov Hogg of Texas. Now when Gov Hogg's daughters were born he should have died several days later(never becoming Gov. and therefore no Hogg Hwy) when his lovely wife could get up and around. At that time she discovered that he had named his daughters Ima and Ura( Ima Hogg and Ura Hogg). In Texas, at that time, homicide, in this case would has been justifiable along with a trip to 'Name Change Court'. True story and only in Texas.

There was no "Ura" Hogg. Popular misconception.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ima_Hogg

State Toll Road 130 is named "Pickle Parkway", I only called its southern extension "Feral Hog Highway" because of the problems with 200-600 lb feral pigs running across it. Bad news: they are much heavier than a deer. Good news: with a low center of gravity, they don't come through the windshield when you hit one.

Back on topic: My FedEx Ground calculator is showing something like $24 to ship a tire, unboxed (I'm estimating 24x24x9 @ 20 lbs). If that's what you are coming up with, we have a deal... UNLESS you find other buyer/s between now and next Thursday (when my pitiful pension check gets deposited). I DO NOT want to keep you from selling both tires if you can. I guess I'm your fall back position.

I'm in Quebec the rest of the week and will get everything put together when I return. Consider it yours. As my father always said "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush".

    Cool.

Remember these simple words while you are in Quebec: "Je suis américain."

Service will improve. "Je suis un Texan" will roll out the red carpet in some cases.
