Was a bit worried about brake clearance, but apparently 3mm clearance is all you need and I got about 4-5mm. 8mm spacers will give me a lot more clearance. Guess I will really need brake air ducts now. I really like the clean look of the studs and tuner lugs

Nice wheels. Not much clearance but that's all you need. Just be careful whenever you remount the wheels as it'll be easy to knock the calipers while trying to line things up. The studs help a lot with that though (one of the reasons I have them) so you shouldn't have much trouble. I'm not sure I think the clearance is, by itself, going to force you to need brake ducts, esp. with those open wheels.
I've looked at the tips and I can't see any difference...what am I missing? -

I think the R56 are larger diameter. Am I right?
Are those screwed on, or do they need to be welded? -

I'll have to put some pictures of my car on my 205/50/15's one of these days--it'd dropped, and I do scrape if I'm not careful, but it's not bad. But it's dropped for the track, not for looks.
Have to admit it does look nice though--but I run 16's for street driving, which helps with both looks and scraping, and swap out to 15's on the track. -

Ouch!
I'm hoping the 0.25 mm increase in tire diameter provided by the 205/50-15 NT-01 tire both fills in the gap and increases front ride height as well as the camber plates giving it about 5mm lift in the front. The GP's front end sits lower than MCS, cause I had dropped my previous MCS and never had any scraping issues. The GP's lower black scrape piece is already pulling off. There is about 1.5 inch clearance. I checked in on the MINI-Madness 8mm spacers....Ouch!....$200:crazy: Likely to get H&R 10mm spacer instead for only $90, to mitigate any caliper clearance issues. Just concerned about the tire rubbing outter fender with a 10mm spacer. -

Doh! Slaps forehead. Forgot about that. I think mine are about 42 offset. This is where I get really confused.

I have the factory 2009 JCW R56, and the tips are welded on. The realoem shows the tips as a separate item but no item number. So I wonder...... the screw on tips must be for the dealer installed JCW upgrade? But then wouldn't that upgrade include the new JCW exhaust with the welded on tips?

Looks great I love the wheels

Tomorrow after work, gonna install the 205/50-15 NT-01s. I know that I would eventually like to mount the 225/45-15, but would have to do "spacerless" or maybe just the 5mm spacers. Seriously, considering hand sanding 0.5mm of the wheels barrel to make it work.
