Hitched up and ready to head for the mountains in the morning....

 

I already have my hotel room reservation and have sent in my $$$$, see you in the Rockies this summer. Hoping to have my Innocenti done in time, if not I'll bring my Racing Green instead.

Minidave - That's funny. One of the things I also have to take care of is mowing two properties before I leave town. If it would just stop raining! But my drive isn't as far. Happy travels and see you in Snowmass - where the weather is supposed to be good next week.

I just did the math and this will be the 18th Mini Meet I've taken my Cooper to. That includes nine East meets, three West meets, and five East Meets West meets. And every one of the last ten or so has been 'the last time'.

Getting ready for the trip west, new tires on and balanced nicely, still need to do a coolant flush and brake fluid flush, then a thorough cleanup and start figuring out how to load all the shite I need for the trip.

 

Getting both cars ready for the trip, I've already done fresh oil, tires checked and aired up as necessary and I'm writing a list of what to take or not. Today I removed the rear sway bar from the classic, although I liked the way it worked it rattled and squeaked constantly, so I have to come up with a better setup.
The Clubman has new tires, new oil, new brake fluid and is ready to go.
We have weather headed for us so I'll get everything loaded and the car hooked up to the Clubby earlier on Sat before it hits....
I have to mow both at the house and my south property, it's pretty wet due to the storm that blew thru this morning but if I don't do it now it'll be 2 feet tall when I get back in 10 days. I'll do the house tonight and the south 2 acres tomorrow, then get everything loaded and packed and Sunday morning we're on the road.

I've done 3 East Meets West, and two Easts - we've probably seen each other but didn't know to say hi!

I've also done a bunch of MINIs in the Mountains, and parts of 2 Minis take the States.

My Mini is a well used Racing Green model, probably the only one there, so be sure to look me up!

Where will MMEMW Minis/MINIs be parked? Together? Security? Parking cost? (Summer Parking is Free, though Westin Hotel site says $20/day offsite)

Looking at almost $1,200 Canadian for Meet Reggie & Hotel...straws break backs.
