Ok I wanted to let this run. I even asked @Sully to let you two fight it out. I have some questions about some of the stuff posted. I have had my Mini sense 2004 and a LOT of this has been around a long time. I will ask my questions tomorrow I am tired and going to bed. but for now STOP THE PERSONAL ATTACKS! @Whine not Walnuts you started the name calling, stop! @Dave.0 you have shown some restraint but it is getting personal. you two can argue till the cows come home but if this is going to be a bunch of name calling I will close the thread! Agreed - this could have been (and can return) to a good thread on an alternative way to build performance at less cost (Note I didn't say peak performance.. and that wasn't the point). Now its getting stupid. Strong opinions and good debate (and help) based on purpose, logic, trial and error is good. Leave the personal attacks and BS stuff to somewhere else outside of MA... not interested in that.
Yes it could have been an informative thread but as usual somebody else screwed it all up. I deleted all my verbiage and my data graphs as well. Just not worth the shit.
Have you seen the hack job he did on his "budget" brakes? Not a very encouraging endorsement for the rest of his build.....
It's not my car so I really don't care what was done. Those brakes did make me wonder??? Back on topic, my car is moar better than yours......
Yes I figured as much. I don't do anything on FB. Not a place I want to be. FB is a reason for many car forums being a shell of their former selves.
I agree 100%, but time and progress never stop. we all used to read Hotrod magazines and stuff before the Internet, then car forums, now FB groups.
Yes time marches on. For what it's worth I don't see FB as progress. I know I'm in the minority these days. Sometimes I feel like a dinosaur waiting for the comet.
