Looks like we have been invited to go on a fishing trip.

daviday, Welcome to the friendliest MINI site on the interweb. We will be happy to help you if we can, but you need to be prepared to provide actual information that might help us help you.

So, besides the age and mileage, what else can you tell us? What are the symptoms? What might you have changed just before this? Noises, smells, etc?

Thank you guys, my data connection lags sometimes.
The battery has plenty of power. The starter wants to turn it over. It just won't. No smell, no smoke, no odd noises. I started the car and drove a few blocks and turned it off.
    Now I'm here.

In the main fuse block under the hood there is one really big one that sometimes will loosen a bit. Check that all of them in there are set in place firmly.

Left the car. I'll check it in the am. I needed a stiff one after troubleshooting.

Over the weekend I've searched every symptom. I'm actually getting a little nervous it's something that may be expensive.

The car wouldn't push start either. A bit of info I forgot to add in my previous posts.

I'm really hoping it's something electrical or the fuel pump as while I was trouble shooting I added almost two quarts of oil. Not good, I know but I know my car consumes a bit of oil normally.

If the car was running and I turned it off. That would rule out it being something internal in the engine, correct?

^^^ that's fair. Jan has also been at MOTD the last 3 years and will be this year also.

He used to come to MOTD Every year but took few years off because his tuning skills were needed by Porsche race teams.

I am not sure, but you can ask him at MOTD this year. He will have a tent this year again.

I will see you again at cigar night on the porch we can talk about it. I am sure he will be able to review your tune.

Slight problem here...menthol cigars are sold in packs like cigarettes. UGH...I smoke cigars, not cigarettes. Checking around, I do have some mint flavored cigars here...will they do, instead?

If your car was running good and not making any noise when you turned it off, the internals are more than likely ok.

When you turn the key to the on position does everything light up?
When you try to start it what does it do, click, nothing, turnover slowly?
Check all your connections. Make sure to check the one under the hood where you jump it off, this is a known problem. Make sure they are tight and clean.
I don't care how new your battery is, have it checked.

Don't jump to big problems yet, it may be something small. A bad battery can do some really odd things on a mini.

Let us know what you find so we can help.

So turned out to be the fuel pump. Logical.

Ran very well until I got on it a bit now there's a miss.
The filter and pump are changed in tandem, usually? Hoping it's just a clogged injector.

My dad switched to menthol cigarettes when he was quitting smoking, he hated menthols and thought he would smoke less with them.
