Seems I can't either...... -
I don't care for the new guy as I'm so used to Edd, however I do enjoy Wheeler Dealers far better than the rest of that fake reality crap on Velocity.

It remains to be seen how much of Wheeler Dealers remains intact. Velocity wanted more of a fake reality show & I believe that is why Edd left.

He explains what happened:

Another example of the bean counters mucking up something good.

Yep. I had no idea of the separation, as I don't watch much Velocity. I did catch a few episodes of WD after the move to the US and never enjoyed it as much. Too much polish for a gritty flip show, IMHO.
I hope Edd turns up a good future project. It was his half of the show that I really enjoyed watching. I think my wife liked Mike's segments (she isn't into the wrenching), so perhaps her demographic is larger than the sofa-bound, wanna-be-greasemonkeys like myself.
Plus, you gotta give him credit for being a class act. It would be VERY easy for him to trash-talk Mike and his previous employers (especially given that he was obviously walked from the grounds and not allowed back in to get his tools and clear out his desk... it was done for him and his stuff shipped to the UK in a container). Instead, he was nothing but even-toned and kind to everyone involved with the series.
