    I do it so that the reader doesn't have to read the entire quote, I'll use the three dots method from here on out if you prefer.....

    I would like it if someone quotes a post with lots of pictures, they don't included all the photos, makes for real long pages.

    My suggestions, or your own are fine. Just when I see text added, or removed selectively without warning in a way that changes meaning, or HUGE fonts... it gets my old usenet hackles up.

    I'm looking, but can only find a very old mod from 2005 that has been archived and is no longer available. Also found a thread on the vBulletin support site that asked the very same question. The vBulletin Customer Support Manager simply replied "There is no automatic way to do that. "

    The search continues, may have to try and write this myself.

    How about if quoted text contains more than 2 Img tags, ask user to confirm?

    The worst I'd do is correct spelling errors when quoting. Other than that I'd bold or use the ...'s.
