Sick Al-Attiyah's Dakar lead shrinks (racer.com)

 

After big losses on early stages, Nani Roma has scrambled all the way back from dead last to 36th overall. Still more than 9 hours off the lead, the further he goes the harder it gets without help from others. Orlando Terranova had a bad stage earlier as well and though nearly 7 hours from the front he's made it back to 24th.

Robby Gordon, who also suffered in earlier stages, is now listed 23rd, nearly 6 hours off the lead.
