1st Gen R50 Cooper Electronic switch off itself when steering ! help~~

    hello, my mini cooper is R50, 2012 made. last few days i have some strange happen. it usually happen when i park the car, when turning the steering wheel , the radio, head light, odometer switch off ! also the steering wheel became very heavy @@"...it take a few second and it switch on again like nothing happen....a few times i turn the steering wheel again , all above insturment switch off again ....what happen and please help ~ im afraid when i drive on the road , if it happen , im not sure the brake will work or not ! +_+" thanks.... :(

    i also notice that, the odometer show " EP " last few days....but it only show no more then a minutes....i read the forum , say it is about the CVT problem (again, CVT ) ...is it relate to about electronic problem ??

    :cornut: Your problem is beyond my knowledge. Since it's a 2012 MINI, it should still be under warranty so I'd take it to the dealership tomorrow. One thing though, very strange things like this can happen with a bad battery but that should still be under warranty also.:Thumbsup:

    Your car does not have a CVT, I agree with take it to the dealer asap....

    i also agree my one year old battery is the #1 suspect :fingerscrossed:
