A couple of weeks ago, my EML light started coming on every few days. No other lights come on with it and I've experienced no loss of power. I purchased a Bavarian Technic diagnostic tool and I'm getting the following codes:

    5E1A:
    CAN DME/DDE signal error
Error will cause a warning light
    Error is not currently present
    Test conditions have been completed

    5E19:
CAN DME/DDE, engine torque not adjustable
Error will cause a warning light
    Error is not currently present
    Test conditions have been completed

I've searched the interweb but have found nothing conclusive - any help would be appreciated.

I get the 2nd code, but the traction control / DSC light is the one that comes on and stays on. If I shut off and restart the light switches off but the code is still resident until cleared. Usually I only get it in the first 5 mins after a cold start -if it is going to come up at all.

    5E19:
CAN DME/DDE, engine torque not adjustable
Error will cause a warning light
    Error is not currently present
    Test conditions have been completed

Interesting you say that as mine happens generally on cold starts (just started seeing this in the fall when it got colder) and also will only come on within the first 5 minutes.
