^ That's a top tip!
Suspension parts (and an ass-load of gaskets...) are here!!! Can you believe this is an $800+ box of stuff? ((((sigh)))) Saturday is gonna be FUN.
Wow, look at them red valve springs....
Um... VALVE springs?
I's a Mini! I think the valve springs and suspension springs are interchangeable!
Must be a lot of intercoolers in them coolers, hence the lean...
Matt, just wondering how everything is coming along. I got my engine back in the car this past weekend and started it yesterday (Monday).
Looking good Jason. Did you go with a belt drive for the cam?
I did, it is a very nice setup. I upgraded to a fluided Damper also. Well, everything was upgraded. Cam, Pistons, everything. I will say with these upgrades they take just a little bit more room and there's not much room to begin with. We started it yesterday and finished timing it this morning. Runs great. I might have a issue with the clutch. We have a week to figure everything out before I drive it to NC. I hope to do a test drive when I get home from work but I have another Mini to work on in the garage also. I might need to call off work to finishs the cars before the trip.
^^^The red one under plastic wrap?......
That's not a Mini, its a BMW.:biggrin5: I painted the engine bay of the Mini so I put plastic up everywhere in the garage.
Cripes.... I'm liking your car collection.... Is it a 2002 by chance?
Sorry.... Didn't mean to hijack....
why yes it is, a 1970. the first car I ever bought. I get it out every once in awhile.
Hey matt, what is going on with your car??? Are you done, if you need anything then give me a shout. We need to get the baby back on the road.
Suspension up-front is rebuilt but I hit a snag with the block - probably needs new rings, possibly a whole re-build (hopefully not). Will advise...
Completely off topic. Didnt know you had an FJ once? Just thought it was funny I saw your name while trying to figure out how to wire an additional dome light!
Greetings from a new FJ owner! - Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum
Yep, that was me.
A bright yellow one :biggrin5:
I miss that thing... it could climb over rocks bigger than a Volkswagon... BUS!
