I just showed a tech the picture and he asked if they were found at the bottom of the ocean?

I'll bet the spray pattern wasn't very efficient.... You should see a HP bump with new ones....

Lol!! Maybe Poseidon previously owned my car.
I really wanted to get JCW injectors for the mods I have done to my car but I wouldn't have the time to get my car tuned until two/three weeks or so from now. :/ -

A friend gave me his injectors since the new ones won't be here until Monday, they were removed at an early mileage for JCW ones.
Got everything back together, cranked the engine but wouldn't start again. Pulled the plugs, 1 is dry, 2-4 are wet with a black/brown liquid (oil possibly).
Shine a light into the spark plug tubes, cylinder 1 looks good, 2/4 are wet with a black liquid and possibly some deposits I can see parts of the piston head so it isn't completely covered in the liquid.
I don't know what to do, I'm worried I have to take everything apart again to see what is causing this.
Edit: also checked the spark and all four are sparking fine. -

Are you getting voltage to the injectors?
Did you have JCW injectors before? -
WHEN you put the head back on was the camshaft gear installed right where it came out?? DID you turn the engine over with the head off and MOVE the cam chain ??
Keep in mind that the cam phase being out can cause piston to valve interface issues.. ( like Bend the valves) so be carefull.
Let us know on the compression and camshaft.. cool??

It's not going to be a good day...
Took the valve cover off, noticed the timing chain sprocket was not straight...
Unbolted the nut and here you go.
The 'key' on the camshaft stripped part of the metal on the timing chain sprocket. So now the timing is definitely off, even if I put the cam in the same position as the key hole on the sprocket, how would I know if it is even correct?
So maybe the crap in the cylinder isn't the issue, this is why the engine isn't starting.
This is not good. -

Thumper, the engine chain wasn't moved when the head was off.
-
STOP!! Dont turn the engine over any more.. cool??
Mark the chain and cam gear... remove the Cam!! All the valves now will be closed ( hopfully) Apply air to the cylinders and see if the air leaks out past the valves!! If they do.. then the head has bent valves!! IF they dont, then you passed a bullet!!
Check to make sure the cam chain and the cam gear are friendly ( where they are SUSPOSED to be on alighn ment. IF they are not, then make them so... Remove the dampner/ the Belt tensionar/ and the timing cover... alighn the 2 crank gear and the 2 chain marks up.. do the same to the camgear and cam ( per manual) and start all over again.
Let me know...

I would remove the cam and do the air test!! Make sure the cylinders hold pressure. Squirt just a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder to help seal the rings... test for pressure. then install the cam with a new timing gear.
When the damaged cam gear slipped, it still could have damaged the valves. So now eliminate that issue. Cool??
SUX, Yes??

I just ordered a new camshaft gear, it's not good when the parts guy knows your name.
Will be ready for pickup tomorrow morning.
I'll remove the cam now. -

Camshaft is removed...how do I go about pressure testing/putting air into it though?

Wait, I got it. I'll use the compression tester adapter for the spark plug thread

Cool... you should be fine. I pull the ECU relay, and then after putting it all back.. I turn the engine over to make sure all is good, also it pumps up the lifters and oil pressure. THEN install the relay and Rock!!
Have fun....

this is very exciting, I hope it has a happy ending

I'm heading absolutely no heat with the temp on HI and full blast. Coolant gets to 235F then the aux cooling fan kicks on, same thing as last night, takes a minute or two then the temp slowly rises. I shut off the engine at 240F
I drove it to try to push any more air in the system but I don't thing that did anything.
Any suggestions? I'm letting the engine cool down now. -
