I do 8.5x11 watercolor paintings of people's MINIs but those are around $100. Maybe I could do a single design of a mini/MA related 5x7 or so painting or screen print. So if you pay $20 I can mail you one of the paintings/prints.

I really can't just accept money, I need to give something in return.

[email protected] is my Paypal. Please include your mailing address, the prints are the least I can do to say thank you. This really means a lot.

Dude, don't spend your money on half measures. Your rebuilt supercharger will fail again, regardless of how often you change the oil. Put that money in the bank for a new one! Better yet, spend it on some dress clothes to get a good summer job.

You really need to follow BThayer23's suggestion.... The oil kit isn't going to do much for you if the rebuilt SC is not assembled correctly.... It's called throwing money down a rat hole.... You will be farther ahead if you save up for a better unit....

Saving in the summer to buy a new one would be ideal but I need my car, this is my DD. The rebuilt one was mailed Monday and my mechanic is going to inspect it for me. He is more than qualified to do so in the work he does. With the recharger, I can check the oil level, which was what caused the gears to grind down because there was no oil. This will at least get me into the summer so I can save up and buy a remanufactured one or new one. Unfortunately time is against me because I can't use the loaner car forever and keep my car at the show for several months. The other ones that Helix have installed haven't had issues, I had the luck of the bad one in the bunch.

The forum automatically converts it to a link if you post it. It shouldn't be hyperlinked.

I wish I had good news but my car still is not back to me. The the recharger kit arrived last week and it turns out that Supercharger Technologies drills out the drain plugs on the superchargers and installs a large drain plug. Shaun at Imperial MINI was going to install the kit at the Dragon on Wednesday so that issue would be resolved.

My mechanic calls me today to come to my car, the rebuilt SC that Supercharger Tech just mailed me clicks/knocks when it is running. So two SCs from this place in two years have not worked properly for me.

I'm going to order one from Way and get that one installed and send back the other to Supercharger Technologies. Hopefully I can get my money back somehow from either Helix or Supercharger Technologies as I trusted them with their decision on where the rebuilt SC came from.

Two weeks until MOTD, I'm really starting to cut it close now.

    Ouch....:mad2:
Get the 3rd from the fl place, and bring it to MOTD, and sell it!!
Bet will be simpler than trying to get your cash back....
The reality is though, Unless you have a core, Buying one from ANYBODY but MINI gets $$$..most charge about =500$ for no core....
To hear that the FL modifies the SC makes me wonder if it will be an OK core...:mad2::frown2:

Ditto....I think WMW posted they used the FL place for a SHORT time....pretty much the same experance you had!!:(
Good to hear you have a GOOD unit on the Way!! May this SAGA END!!
BUT PLEASE TELL OTHERS of you misery...The CHEAP REBUILD MAY BE OK IMO FOR A DIY, but if you are paying $$ for the labor, just $$ on a good one, and be done with it!!
