What a great day!!
Thanks to Chuck for laying out a great course and then taking us off it to get back to Tom's without waiting for the Slowstices.
Thanks to Brian for keeping us on course and for being willing to take on an adventure when the opportunity presented itself!
Thanks to everybody else for making ti a fun day, it is all the little bumps along the road that make it a fun adventure.
Nathan I hope you car is OK, Brian and I were worried the three lost MINIs ended up meeting some locals on the gravel road Brian and I took. It must have been that river gas![]()

We took that gravel road too. Jason was third back and at the end was driving a white dust colored MINI. Later he led us and more rutted gravel to see where the airship had gone down.
If y'all noticed the trailer in Ava that was about the airship, that and the Site 1 land is owned and run by the garage / towing company that rescued me. The owner happened to be my driver. His stories made the 100 mile or so drive in the old flatbed with no air and a leaky exhaust fly by. -
Glad to hear you got back OK Nathan. I hope MAG can get your MINI back on the road quickly.

Allen thanks for the pat on the back, but I can not take sole credit....
Thanks to all the folks that came out for a fun days drive.
Special thanks to Susan & Bill for all their help. Without them there would be no Riverrun.
Also thanks to the North American MGB register, the Central Ohio British Car Club Council & the Buckeye Miata Club for all their help & support.
Hope to see you at next years Riverrun. I'm already looking at maps & planning the first expeditionary drive. -

WOW, I can't believe Jason didn't get on the radio and question our road choice. Brian and I commented a few times at how happy we were we didn't have to worry about anybody following us down that road. Did you pop out at the covered bridge? We arrived there just as Chuck past and we followed him the rest of the day.

Jim next year come down Friday and stay in a hotel (there are a bunch of older British cars that do this.) It is a highlight of every year, great roads, great friends, and always great adventure!

Oh I guess if you want to stand in the field with Mr Ed & watch us drive by you can be on your horse. You will have to stay off road.

Sweet picture Nathan. I've passed that garage about 7 times, but never gave a second thought to their flatbed sitting out front. Man those tires look make it look like you were mud boggin with the good old boys.
-
After I knew it was going to have be towed I got it off the road and onto a path to where there some oil storage tanks in an effort to make pick up easy. There was a bit of mud on one side back there. The mud goes well with the layer of gravel road dust the rest of the car is encased with.
