And this isn't even talking about the new Veyron SS model, with 1200 bhp and which has reclaimed the the production car speed record for Bugatti by doing 268 mph. :eek6:

    Thanks for the clips!

    OK, let's do the math..............

    EB Veyron; 1,001 HP @ 8.0 Liter = 125.125 HP per L, with 7 radiators.

2009 MINI JCW; 208 HP @ 1.6 Liter = 130 HP per L, all with only 1 radiator. Ha, MINI is the True Super Car.

OK, let's do the math again.....
    EB Veyron; 1,001 HP @ 7 radiators.

2009 MINI JCW heavily modified with 7 radiators @ 208 HP per radiator = 1,456 HP. Ha, Heavily modified MINI with 7 radiators is the true Super Super Car.

OK, now I can sleep tonight with a huge grin on my face. Take that Veyron and your $100.00 dollar titanium bolts!!!

    Isn't math wonderful?:D

The mini has TWO radiators. The Coolant Rad and the Intercooler. When they say 7 radiators, at least 4 of those are for cooling the IAT. ;)

Either way, if you think about it, the 125.12 HP per liter makes sense. This is why the Veyron can run on 91 octane and make 1001 HP. Just add the extra Liters to the MINI and bam! ;) LOL  So we just need to fuse 4 mini blocks and we'll have 832 HP! Close enough!

So that's 104 per rad for the MINI and a 143 per rad for the Veyron. ;) hahaha

I was getting my MINI serviced at Scottsdale MINI and during the wait, I walked next door where they have had one on display for a while. It looks smaller in person but still really neat.

Cool, I never actually saw one but I had seen a couple side by side shots with regular cars and yeah it is much smaller that it seems on it's own. I remember seeing a Ford GT at the local dealer, I was surprised how low the roofline was.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed as I did. :cornut:

I work next to the Bugatti dealer in Kuwait and we have a back road that they test the cars on... all I can say is that I was driving my previous Carrera S and when this thing passes by...oh well... makes you feel like a snail  I cannot explain how fast the Veyron is... it is mind blowing

    Counting Radiators

    #3
The OEM oil heat exchanger is actually a radiator of sorts. I would not refer to it as an oil cooler, more like an oil temp conditioner.

    #4
The AC condensor heat exchanger is a radiator.

    Heat Exchanger = Radiator

So, yeah an S MINI has 4 radiators. Sorry, not trying to mess up your fun math.

Can't say that I have, but my uncle got a ride in one in Napa Valley, just before the Robb Report on the top super cars. Guess the Veyron developed a problem that weekend, so it didn't complete the tests, and thus didn't come in top of the class.

But he did say that 150+ through Napa in the hands of the Bugatti driver was... exhilarating.

    Ok Phydeaux...............
I thought really hard about this....... This "True Super Car MINI"......
And as long as we can agree that a "radiator" is being used to facilitate energy transfer.

    And here they are....
    #1 Coolant Radiator
    #2 Intercooler
#3 Oil Cooler (stock pancake cooler)
    #4 Heater
    #5 Air conditioner Condenser
    #6 Air conditioner Evaporator

    And drum roll please..........

#7 Left Front "Ventilated" Disc Brake
#8 Right Front "Ventilated" Disc Brake
    :lol::lol::lol:

    Streeeeetch... ;)

I'm only guessing here, but I suspect that numbers 4-8 are not directly related to producing more power. :)

    100 dollar bolts!!

even better ONLY 14 bolts hold the back half to the front half!.. with over 1000hp, thats seems alittle scary to me.. even if there titanium. Here in niagara where im from my friends dad owns the VW/Audi dealer, and has the special ordering privlage for the veyron. Some high roller went and ordered one, then when it was delivered to the dealer called and said he bought a lambo instead. Because he was sick of waiting.... He had already put a hefty down payment on the car, that he wasnt allowed to have back, and the car sat there for almost a year before someone else came into buy it.

there awesome cars, they are small. but they make up for it, i never drove it personally but i did take a mild drive in it. Nothing too crazy it is a 110% head turner thats for sure!
