For some reason, this reminds me of when I was about 8 and my brother was 18 and I challenged him to a boxing match... "well, ya got heart, kid"...

 

Due to the positive response to this idea I am issuing the following challenge:

I will meet any car maker with any model and any driver on any track in my stock '06 JCW.
Wet, or dry. Day, or night. The participants will get to post the results of the competition
and use them in their marketing campaigns.*

*any manufacturer accepting the challenge agrees to pay for the track rental and reimburse me for my travel and lodging expenses. And some tires would be nice.

 

Think about it. People would follow this and go watch, just in the off chance the underdog could pull it off. If the MINI won, everyone wouold be amazed and excited. If it lost they would simple say it was a good try. This is a win, win for MINI.

After doing my 5th PCA Driving Event this past weekend and being on the track in the MINI with a ton of P-cars, there is just no way that the MINI can hang with the Carrera S under normal circumstances. I guess the interesting variable here is the arrangement/conditions.

Besides, no matter what the outcome is, Porsche can always say they made this (beware - crappy iphone quality and wind noise coming up):

Back on topic slightly, this photo link was posted in the MF thread for the article. Thought it was pretty slick.

No but it applies across the board, any make..

Did love it when one tried to charge me $10.00 to dispose of the mechanic's rubber gloves ....

Told them to go get them and I'd toss them in the trash. The charge was removed.

Update: I have yet to hear from any of the manufacturers. Makes me think my driving skills are even more impressive and legendary than I even thought.
