Ok you bunch of elitist, I have an OBX header and I like it! There I sead it! I like it. It feels good to finely admit to it.![]()

Ok then here's the next steep. I may do a straight exhaust come spring, and build it myself. Also I may rap the OBX to keep the heat in.
Ok and I'll admit my wife helped me put them on. Pretty cool of her. Does that make her an enablar?:lol:-

Mrntd is right, pick up a used stock system and then do a one-ball. Plenty of sound & burble and no annoying resonance on highway. Check out my garage for pics.

I also have a SS OBX header that I bought on ebay and installed it when all those others were just pipe dreams. Had it ceramic coated after I cleaned up the flange ports. It has about 10 years on it and about 130,000 miles, no problems yet. It is mated to a 2.5 inch 2nd hand vintage Magnaflow cat back. That was a take off. I got for half price because somebody thought it was to loud.

Check with a local custom exhaust shop and have them simply do a single muffler system. Shouldn't be too expensive.

^^^ I think you are right. I have never heard RMW or Milltek with the words low low used to describe them.
OBX and low low fix perfect together.
Just remember for the price you get what you pay for. -
sorry... Didn't mean to start an intervention. haha. But yes. I meant exhaust on the inexpensive side of the spectrum. I cannot do a one ball since the drivers side muffler has a leaky seam and in PA that's a no-no. Looking at the piping and the cut-aways for the mufflers it seems to be a direct knock off of the Super Sprint (although I cant imagine it's built as well for the price) so I would expect the same-ish sound. Since this is the short rear system I will be using the factory resonator so it should tone it down just a little.... or I may cut a pipe and just eliminate the resonator all together. Haven't decided that yet.

I checked with a few. No one seemed to know what they could do in the mini since it was "so small." The only one that had an idea just wanted to use a "Magna Pack" that looked like a resonator in the same place a a resonator and run straight pipes from there back to the outlets. I figured this would be WAY too loud and obnxious to invest in. plus they still wanted almost $500 to creat and install it. Not worth the risk of trying it imho.
