If I get up there in time (should know better closer to date) I'm in.!!! RMW street header with Milltek Catback.
I will show up with (#6) Frodo. You can add me to the list with my RMW street header w/Milltek. 05 R53 (MCS) w/ DDM Works CAI RMW BVH "The Jesus Head" RMW CAM Helix 15% Pully Larger injectors Meth
I'm actually going to amend my previous statement. I'm going to try to be up there on Thursday morning to participate. I've got an NM Engineering Downpipe Back 2.3 inch diameter, 3.5 inch tips exhaust.
Tigger got his exhaust installed this week, when I signed up it was in a box in the living room. It's a Magnaflow 16662, I like it! So far I don't hear a drone on the highway, and the sound is nice and aggressive. I'm not sure I can do the exhaust challenge because I'm doing the Glamour Shots for MINIs and we start shooting at 4:00. It will depend on how close the shoot site is to the ending of the exhaust sound off.
Thanks, everybody for the interest in this new event. Over on NAM, there was some discussion about moving it to another location. For a couple of reasons, I think it's best to keep it in the village as planned. Within the village, we are a sanctioned event and Fontana likes us. Outside, we are subject to other authorities that might not like us. We would also be deserting most of our audience if we are not in Fontana Village. I think the traffic issue can be handled with 3 flagmen. The rest of my home club, GulfSouthMotoring, will be at the jetboat rides when this is happening, so I need volunteers for the flagman (or woman) jobs. I'll bring the flags, but it would probably also be good if you could have a walkie-talkie. If you want to volunteer, but will be a driver, or will arrive late, or have to leave early, please indicate that you will be part-time, and why. Edits to participant list: scratch 16. minipuck 16. Calabaladingdong (Sneeds custom): car? 17. Colejd (Remus Street Power-Sound Race Exhaust, stock down pipe, and a DDM Works Street intake) 2008 MCCS 18. DixonL2 (twin glasspack straight-back (under the battery box), Alta Intake, 15% pulley, TSW engine mount) 2006 MCS 19. MiNiSandpirate (RMW Header, Stratmosphere Flashpoint exhaust, 15% pulley, RMW street cam, tune(will be switching to Vi-PEC soon), alta intake, jcw injectors) 03 MCS 20. Nathan (RMW Race Header, Random Technology Super High Flow cat, 2.5in outlet to 18" Vibrant resonator split to each side, reduced to 2.25in and then through a 12" Vibrant resonator on each side) 06 MCS
Mine's a 2006 R53, Alta intake, 15% pulley, TSW engine mount (because all 3 make a difference in sound)
Just got a new job and have to withdraw from MOTD completely :frown2: I won't be able to show off my exhaust or be at the carshow. I would have loved to have been there
I'll try to get in on this too... My exhaust is a RMW Race Header, Random Technology Super High Flow cat, 2.5in outlet to 18" Vibrant resonator split to each side, reduced to 2.25in and then through a 12" Vibrant resonator on each side. It's a new to me setup, I have no idea what it sounds like yet.
A pretty big a## country house that we didn't get to see last year on the Blue Ridge Parkway Run and the misses wants to go. Gotta keep her happy
I just finished puting in the DOS intake, but since i have back to back drives and this is being squeezed in the middle im starting to get a little concered if im gonna make it...o well only time will tell
I have come to a disappointing realization. Since the beginning of April, I have been having some kind of heart problem that causes me to have very little energy or stamina. I have had some tests, but I don't meet with the cardiologist until Monday. I do know how I feel, however. I get way too tired way too easily, and like this, it just isn't wise to go up to Fontana this year. I think Aaron's post in the safety thread, where he listed the conditions under which one should not drive the Dragon (one being when you are tired), finally removed what little doubt I had left. Since I'm the one who originally volunteered to run this event, there is now a need for someone to take over. My Fontana room (2 queen, I think) is going to be available, too.
Sorry to hear of your health issues. You will be missed but it is more important that you get this resolved.
Sorry to hear about your condition and certainly understand. Your health is more important than anything else. Hope all goes well with you and your condition returns to normal soon.
Lol that's twice now Jim! Think we better get you a new pair of reading glasses.... I said glasses not gasses
