Ok, I was originally going to do a turbo back exhaust, but I've been hearing too many problems with people with codes from these.... so I'm sticking to a catback system.

    My question is:
    What does everyone have?

I am looking for a little performance, but more importantly, I don't want a really loud exhaust..... I'd like to stay on the subtle side.

So who's got what and how do you like it?

Jetex, Milltek, Stratmosphere - all quiet but good solutions.

I have Jetex and love it.

    Hey Monica,
Yeah when I saw the post and read it I figured it was you. Lots choices for you re: exhaust, have fun shopping.

PS - the chatting while driving was a lot of fun.

i recommend the DDM, it was not overly loud, but sounded good and the car made great power off the line. it installed without any problems and they are great people. you can order it from him or us. :)

Any clips out there for the RISS catback or Way's R56 exhaust? These are potentials. :)

I'm running a ED catback, possibly will change it out next spring.

    Alta 3" Cat-Bac

The Alta 3" cat bac was my first engine mod and I love it. Deep, mellow sound and no rapping and crackling. The extra 10WHP is nice, but the extra 10WTQ and quicker turbo spool-up gets your attention right now! Gas mileage is the same if not a little better. Got the oval tip as it looks nasty. That YouTube audio is not really how it normally sounds. Mine only sounds like that on full throttle. Good Luck and have FUN!! :cornut:

I'm kinda thinkin along the same lines. Originally I was going to go Catback but I saw Way over last weekend and he was saying that Catback really does not get much extra HP based on many many Dyno's. Basically it's cosmetic for the sound. $800 for a extra rumble don't make much sense.

I have not heard Way's, he said someone had put a sound bite on the other site. Never found it. Got a member of my community who I trust suggesting the Borla. Said it would not drone at highway speed

So the question is which downpipe can I get that is not gonna throw CEL's? RISS just came out with a 02 Sim but I'm not that crazy about being a 1st gen on this

    So any suggestions?

I don't have an R56, but I've seen and heard one with the Invidia Q300 and it sounds excellent and has huge tips (if that is important to you).

appreciate, but my inquiry is around CEL free downpipes. I see where my mistake might be. I have this on a "exhaust" thread and it seems folks are interpreting this as Catback which is understandable. I'll start a Downpipe thread. Thanks

Here's the DuellAG exhaust. I believe it may be contracted to D.U.Z. as the design is the same. (D.U.Z. makes 2 different exhaust variations for the R56 on their website)

No matter what you put on it it will never get as loud as a R53 just Fyi.
My friend Blake ran his with just the downpipe on his because his exhaust fell off.
and he said it was still quiet. LOL:eek:
