Posted this in other places too since I'm so happy with the results, but I still want to see what others have done.

Just got done doing most of the install on some new gauges.

Left to right, Boost, Volts, Fuel Pressure, Dual Temp. ( I'm doing IAT & Engine Compartment for now)

Still need to hook up the sensors for the Fuel Press. & Temps, but it's going to be this w/e at the earliest before I can get to that.

    All from:

VEI Systems -- Intelligent Vehicle Instrumentation

    All electronic with external sensors.

    IMAG0240.jpg

Because of the major PITA of removing an '05 dash pad I just ran everything to the windshield, along the dash line & behind the pillar cover.

Gauges may not be that hard, but let me tell you they're extremely time consuming to do, all the electrical connections are soldered, pluged together & shrink tubed, no crimps here.

The blue is really easy on the eyes at night,

The gauges have a bunch of great features:

    All:
9 different brightness levels for both day & night

    Boost:
Customizable settings for boost range 12 to 60 psi
One touch peak boost display from last start up.
Displays in either 1, .05, or .01 increments
    Custom calibration for accuracy

    Fuel psi & Volts:
Customizable high & low audible alarm settings to warn of problems

    I love gadgets. :D

I showed you mine, so you show me yours. :D

    BlwnAway,

Nice placement of the gauges. Since it is still winter here, I have no pics to "show you mine". LOL

And only 9 settings for the light? Geesh, you should have at least 10 + different colors. (kidding)

    Great job!

And they match, very cool, I'm actually thinking about taking on the replacement led's mod for my factory stuff (blue/white) but that will take a clear headed, non stressed weekend, and I don't get many of those.

 You should have seen it, spent a couple of weeks with gauge cups "painter taped" all over my dash.
I can just imagine if anyone looked into the car

I've posted photos of mine before, but here they are again.

I made the gage mount out of 1/8" aluminum and the pods are made from 2" ABS drain pipe.

I have boost/vacuum, oil temperature, oil pressure and water temperature gages.

I couldn't find any still pics of my Aeroforce Interceptor gauges but I made a little video clip last fall after I finished installing them:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDtHr9b5MMI&feature=player_embedded]M4H02245 - YouTube[/ame]

I essentially traded off the nice gauge face match of the Marshall gauges (which I had on my previous '05) for the versatility and programmability of the Interceptors, not to mention the vastly easier installation.

I thought about doing the gauge surround, but with the Chrono Pack either the steering wheel blocked the lower ones on both sides or you have to telescope them so far out there would be tons of vibration. (esp. with my car). I like them around the tach only.

As far as everyones pic's being previously posted, I didn't see a general thread for them, (prob. just misssed it) I figured why not start one so it would be simple for those thinking about it to get ideas, on placement & product options.

I pretty much try to make all my own MINI stuff. Got plans to add some more gauges at the bottom of the center stack..... But I have way too many half started MINI projects that need finished first...

This is the current setup, but I have a suspicion it will be changing soon.

One Aeroforce Interceptor and a VEI Systems Valentine 1 display. Later I reversed them with the VEI on the right instead of the left side due to glare issues with the Aeroforce.

Damn, I'd never heard of the interceptor before, (This is exactly why I wanted to start this thread). I love that thing, (would still want what I have) I guess I'm going to have to get the pod for the other side of my Chrono Pack (opposite my AFR gauge), oh well at least it will balance the look now.

Ok, so maybe I shouldn't have started this thread.

    That's a given starting a thread like this! :D

I picked up the Aeroforce before they offered them for Mini's. I liked it because it's an OBDII gauge so the install is simple. It has a couple analog inputs for other gauges you might want also. It replaced a Scanguage II. Mine doesn't have the nice Mini logo when it boots. They didn't offer the silver face either at that time. I really like the look of Gil-galad's gauges with the matching faces. I paid quite a bit less than retail as a "test" install. They don't offer a LCD color that matches the Mini's. Mine is their red model and it's definitely different than the orange of the Mini. The VEI orange gauge on the other hand is an exact match to the Mini's LCD.

That's really nice  Is the vent still usable? Only reason I asked is that some do still have a vent that works.
