    One Aeroforce Interceptor and a VEI Systems Valentine 1 display. Later I reversed them with the VEI on the right instead of the left side due to glare issues with the Aeroforce.

    Post #8 in this thread was my Aeroforce Interceptor gauges in my previous MINI. Here they are re-installed in my '13 Roadster (Yeah, I know this is a 1st Gen thread, but figured this post might pass muster since these units will work in either Gen). Able to use the very same Cravenspeed mount and reconfigured the gauge locations to accommodate the R57/R59 standard "UV Exposure Meter." I also swapped out the gauge faces.

    I didn't even need to reprogram them -- they showed the exact same data I had set up previously.

    I've posted photos of mine before, but here they are again.

    I made the gage mount out of 1/8" aluminum and the pods are made from 2" ABS drain pipe.

    I have boost/vacuum, oil temperature, oil pressure and water temperature gages.

    :cornut: Master Chief, my son(former AW) looks at this and says"Wow! He's talented." Then he looks at the name Tron Chief and falls in the floor laughing."No wonder he's good, he's a Master Chief Petty Officer Avionics guy." "How do you know that?" "Tron is the Navy name for avionics guys. I'm glad he did such a good job with those gauges or his people never would have let him forget.":Thumbsup:

    My favorite feature of the VEI gauges is the customizable alarm feature, since I mainly regard gauges as "early warning" , to me the alarm feature just adds that little extra.

    BlwnAway,

    Nice placement of the gauges. Since it is still winter here, I have no pics to "show you mine". LOL

    And only 9 settings for the light? Geesh, you should have at least 10 + different colors. (kidding)

    Great job!

    And they match, very cool, I'm actually thinking about taking on the replacement led's mod for my factory stuff (blue/white) but that will take a clear headed, non stressed weekend, and I don't get many of those.

    :lol: You should have seen it, spent a couple of weeks with gauge cups "painter taped" all over my dash.
    I can just imagine if anyone looked into the car :lol:

    I couldn't find any still pics of my Aeroforce Interceptor gauges but I made a little video clip last fall after I finished installing them:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDtHr9b5MMI&feature=player_embedded]M4H02245 - YouTube[/ame]

    I essentially traded off the nice gauge face match of the Marshall gauges (which I had on my previous '05) for the versatility and programmability of the Interceptors, not to mention the vastly easier installation.

    I thought about doing the gauge surround, but with the Chrono Pack either the steering wheel blocked the lower ones on both sides or you have to telescope them so far out there would be tons of vibration. (esp. with my car). I like them around the tach only.

    As far as everyones pic's being previously posted, I didn't see a general thread for them, (prob. just misssed it) I figured why not start one so it would be simple for those thinking about it to get ideas, on placement & product options.
