Actually, 7th...
I'm 6th, but by thoroughly discrediting those ahead of me, those seats should be on my car by next weekend....![]()

Ha!
Like BP, I'm going to buy up ALL the spaces less than 1st place all the way to Zero place. So technically I slot in before Edge. So now they belong to me.
I'll be PM'ing you my ship to address for the seats.:arf: -
6th, 7th, 8th.....no matter, I'm sure whoever was 1st will not back out on this deal
But congrats to #1 on the list, these will have to be much better than OE S seats.....
Time to start looking at other alternatives...... -
So, has anyone figured out a functional workaround for the weight sensor on the passenger side seat short of tearing up the seat and reinstalling it? -

So you can leave it unattached (or would it be better to attach it and place it hidden completely underneath the seat, if there's room there?) and the light won't go off with the seat belt in there? If that's the case, I could just buy an extra male end of the seat belt, clip it in there, and be done with it. Wouldn't even have the seat belt going across the seat. -

Or....... go to Craven and buy their ChimeX
What it is...
A buckle that stays looped around the passenger side seat belt plug where it is out of sight but within easy reach. Plug it in and you are free to put things on the seat without hearing your Mini complain about it.
Why you need it
Imagine you are leaving the grocery store with some things you picked up for dinner. Its not much but the steak and the two bottles of wine are heavy (what?..you are not eating alone). You get in your Mini, put the items on the passenger seat because it is easy and you can make sure that the flowers you bought for the table won't get smashed when you take a corner in your kart. Then as you pull out of the parking lot your Mini starts beeping away because it thinks your steak is a small child without a seat belt. You can't reach the other side of the car, but luckily The Chimex is right there so you plug it in and turn of that chime without even taking your eyes off the road.
Pros
* It takes no effort to install.
* It saves time over opening the boot
* You take control back from The Man -

so did I get these?

The DPSM install was never really about the warranty, BTW... which is over anyhow. I have the extended warranty now (already paid for itself, including a new power steering pump last week), but that's not from MINI itself.
I've been waiting a long time for an opportunity like this. I already tried to buy a (new) set of 1st Gen JCW Sparcos last year - even sent the money to a UK vendor so he could place the order for me... but I must have just missed the window before they stopped making them. The order was accepted in the BMW/MINI system but was never fulfilled.
I even ordered (and have, waiting at home) the proper MINI OEM resistors to trick the car into thinking the seats have airbags. No need to jury-rig it for that - just the passenger weight sensor.
Nope - once I saw this, no way I was going to let go of it. Sorry, fellas. I do have to thank a good friend for alerting me to the sale though. :cornut:
Curious question though - for those of you who don't care as much as I do about having "OEM" stuff in your car... why not just order a non-OEM set of Sparcos or Recaros anyway? -
nice deal! Now, if you can only get Jaysen to part with that OC3 mat he doesn't need

But first... didn't you sell your MINI? Did you buy another? Just surprised to see you here. :eek6: -
I've been here since the beginning mate! I've been super busy over the past year though, so my time spent browsing comes and goes based on how little/how much I play BF2 after hours (no more time to browse 9-5).
I'd be happy to supervise the swap  -

BF2 is cool - although I'm still a CS:S freak, myself.
Thanks - I think we may take you up on the "supervision" offer... neither Jay nor I have has a clue what we're doing when it comes to upholstery, so I'm pretty sure we'd both feel more comfortable having someone around who does.
