Yep, and let's hope they let you change your bonus race pick. I sent a question and complaint already, you might want to do the same.

 

A curious scoring note.

I had Rosberg on my list and he didn't finish the race. I remember reading about how certain points are not scored if a driver doesn't finish but didn't realize they also take away any points he gained you in qualifying. On the plus side, he still scores a point for every lap he completes so I lost the 15 points Rosberg scored in quali but gained 22 points total because he finished 22 laps.

Don't think it was specified in the rules. I read the 2010 rules earlier and they did specify that the first TWO races would be practice rounds but I didn't see anything about it in the 2011 rules. More importantly, I don't think they notified people 24 hours in advance of the game's deadline for making changes. Unfortunately, I seem to have deleted the email they sent me so I can't check.

 

I think the trick normally is to click on the box with the bonus track in it and then a list of options pops up to the side. I imagine they won't want to flip the switch enabling that method again though since for the rest of us the window already closed and they'll only want to make an exception for specific people. My guess is if they do anything at all it will be to tell you to send them a request they can input manually.

 

For some reason the points have been recalculated. Most of us gained a bit. I thought Sauber's disqualification was already factored in so can't imagine what changed.

Don't know when they'll zero out these "practice race" numbers but if you want to trade components before Sepang the transfer window is open.

 

Well, you've seen the answer they sent me and that's after I asked how you would make the change if they decide to allow it. Not much help.

How did you do over at F1 Fanatic? I'm tied with about 200 people in 363rd place on 7 points.

Four days to the start of practice at Sepang. If you think you might want to make changes, now is the time to start pondering transfers.

 

Hey, I made a couple transfers between quali and the race at Melbourne and I definitely benefited.

FYI, in doing so I learned any points you get in quali from a component you then trade away before the race won't show up on the points breakdown form after the race. The form includes a quali points column so I first thought I'd misinterpreted the rules and lost some points in the trades. I had to tot up the points manually to see that those not shown on the breakdown form were still included in the overall points total.

I wonder when they'll zero out the Melbourne points. Guessing it'll be after they lock the transfer window for Sepang quali.
