They finally updated the numbers post-Silverstone. I figure it's a good time to re-post them here since this is the end of another bonus race window so we're all even up on bonus race point opportunities. That is, with two exceptions: Scott and Tim (?) each missed out on one bonus race selection so their numbers are artificially low as a result.

I'd say that makes this a perfect time for a reminder to select a new bonus race soon...the transfer window is open.

    Team OG Jinky 4792
    Sugar Momma Racing 4681
    Empire State Motorsports 4633
    JDYG-F1 4505

    Team DOING IT WORNG! 4362
    Fast Gnats 4211
    The Whining Team 3932
    Shack Attack 3697

Congrats to Jerry who has moved into 10th place overall !!

Interesting. While I see everyone's points if I select individual teams, the league still shows last weeks. Stoked to crack the top ten. Let's see how long that lasts.

I did send everyone a misspelled reminder regarding the bonus race.

    Nice Jerry!

I would have about 500 more points if they had fixed the first round of bonus races......:mad5:

As the Missus uses the same system and except for mixing up some of them Finish/German drivers a few times she would be ahead of me, I must hold the secret till the end of the season.

Those of us who actually use our transfers for each race take a bit of a hit in picking for the next race (Germany). Choosing a new bonus race costs you one of your three transfers. Doesn't seem right at all but it is what it is so plan accordingly.

Just got an email from Speed:

The closing Deadline for selecting your next bonus race is July 22nd, 2011 at 12:00 (noon EST).

Don't say you haven't been warned.

I think the folks over at Speed took the F1 summer break to heart for a bit. They finally put up the post-Hungary numbers though.

Now for the big surprise, we have two in the top 10 overall! See their rankings in parens. Well done!

Saw that in the morning. Surprised the heck out of me. Interestingly, the guy in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 10th over all is all the same player running different teams. I guess someone is trying to hedge their bets.

I might have to do that next year. That way I can be 47th, 184th, 453rd and 3798th all at once.

I like this multiple bonus rounds biz because it causes the standings to shift after every race. You gain ground suddenly in the standings (hopefully it's a gain) on your bonus race and usually fall back gradually (hopefully it's gradual) during the others.

I think I can give this one out now. With points being scored for every lap completed, you stand to score more on races with most laps. Thus, selecting the race with most laps as your bonus would maximize your return.

Exactly, 1 point per lap finished per driver, thus Hungary with 70 laps.

Too analytical for me... Enough of that kind of exercise at work. I prefer to just go with my favorites, and see what happens. But thanks for the tip! Prolly helps to actually read the rules...
