I hope Kimi has better luck in NASCAR than he's had in the WRC. :eek:ut:

I think Sauber did not appeal because losing the appeal would be potentially much worse than having supposedly broken a rule in the first place.

A Kimi, Matt Kenseth interview would make for some scintillating TV....

Let's see, is Kimi still Master of the Monotone? That should go over well in NASCAR land.

Thanks for that link - I saw the 'Harvest' button on the Melbourne TV coverage and had been wondering what it did - sadly, it turns out my theory that there is a combine cutterbar hidden under the front wing isn't right....:blush2:

 I hadn't thought of that.

Following that logic there might be room for a scythe blade tucked under there for a very different sort of 'push-to-pass' function. Hit the 'harvest' button and the blade sweeps out to cut tires on the car ahead...KERS and DRS become harvest-enabling devices...

Maybe I need to register or something? Every page click brought one up, of course you can just close them, but they are a pain, and cover most of the page....

The only ones I get pop open if you roll your mouse cursor over their banner ad, usually the banner at the top of the page.

I see they're predicting 60-90% chance of rain (scattered thunderstorms) in Sepang all three days, Fri, Sat and Sun.

Ah, nothing like uncharted territory for all the teams at once, how will the Pirelli's do in real rain?

Wet F1 races are almost always fun!

    Well,......for us anyway! :D

This actually turned out to be a suspension failure. Something broke and jammed the wheel. Same part broke on Petrov's car during the same session.

Some interesting words from Pirelli (lifted from a longer article, primarily an interview w/ Button)

Button: Malaysian GP is going to be 'absolute madness'

Crap. Well, it wasn't anything dramatic, no accident, no crash, just Heidfeld driving most of the way round the track with his right front wheel locked, The tire eventually wears through, sparks fly, etc. A few interesting words from the commentators about the tires and a lot of speculation -- inaccurate as it turns out -- about the brakes being locked.

Hey, found another version. Same video but with the end lopped off where they're rolling him into the garage, removing the wheel, looking at the suspension, etc. Maybe this one will stay up.
