How did this work out?, I am getting to absolutely hate Fox running a commercial break every 3 laps
Despite that it was a great race!

If you don't mind the lack of HD it was awesome. NO commercials at all in the BBC broadcast. The feed is the same all over the world so get the same stuff everyone else see's. Brundle and Coulthard are there at the venue so get a little more of what it is like there. Their commentary is different too. Varsha, Hobbs, and Machett are very good but a different take on the same thing opens a new view.
Did I mention there are NO commercials. -

Just to clear up one detail, are you saying there were no commercials? -

If there are no commercials, when do you go to the bathroom and whatnot?

Yep....the BBC coverage does not have any commercials. And you can get it from lots of torrent sites afterwards if you wanted to.
I am usually not patient enough to wait and download the BBC coverage, but the few times that I have it has been a nice fresh look at the race. -

I just want to know what the heck is a "whatnot" and why do you need a commercial for it?

Definition of whatnot by Webster:
: any of various other things that might also be mentioned <paper clips, pins, and whatnot>
In my application it could mean anything from making a sandwich to a quicky with the missus. Yes, Formula 1 makes me hungry and hot. All at the same time. -

If the link changes, I'll try to post an updated one on Sunday morning. No promises though, I'm out of town and may not have access by then.
What I usually do to find a good stream is to go to ustream.com, and search F1. The resulting stream almost never works, but in the commenting thing to the right of the stream there is usually a comment that has a link to a good streaming site for that race. Sometimes it's the site I link above, sometimes it's different.
I'll do my best to post a link by race's start.
Ugh allergies making post incoherent. -

I think almost half the drivers got to take advantage of the opportunity to drive the big 'Ring while in Germany. Looks like they had fun. Strange choice of music though...
Drivers take to the Nordschleife (sorry, can't embed the GPUpdate TV vids)
I think this next one is the Rosberg-driving-Coulthard ride mentioned in that GPUpdate clip. Pretty funny...Coulthard is like me, not a good passenger, but at least he admits before the ride even starts.

I love it. As Nico starts saying 270, 280, DC starts to tighten his shoulder straps. Good stuff.

On a separate note: Awesome race! Looking forward to watching these guys duke it out around the Hungaroring. -
I was just chatting with on of my new clients yesterday and it turns out he is a huge F1 fan and he live 15 min from the track in Austin. He offered me use of their guest room for the event.
The Nov date works so much better in so many ways. -
