I feel so ashamed. My mom lives two blocks away from there and yet I haven't been there in years.

Thanks, the first link is working better for me. It is the BBC broadcast with Martin Brundle and David Coulthard.

    Riddle me this...

Since the 4th and 5th place cars were 54 seconds ahead of the 6th place car and while the regulations do specify that both the prime and option tires do need to used and the penalty for not doing so is 30 seconds added to the time why not hold station and take the penalty instead of risking a pit stop issue.

Ahhh but then the pit guys would miss a chance at earning their keep....lol

Good question though and one they most likely didn't think of in the moment.... ;)

I didn't know that was the penalty, assumed it would be worse. If that's all it is, seems like every team would intentionally factor that option into their planning prior to every race and especially while making late race pit strategy calls.

On the Fox coverage they mentioned Alonso stopping on track after the race but they neither mentioned nor showed his taxi ride on the sidepod of Webber's car. I just read about it. Here's hoping this vid hangs around a while before the FIA or FOM force YouTube to pull it.

How did this work out?, I am getting to absolutely hate Fox running a commercial break every 3 laps

Despite that it was a great race!

No more Fox broadcasts this season but I'm still interested in the answer.

If you don't mind the lack of HD it was awesome. NO commercials at all in the BBC broadcast. The feed is the same all over the world so get the same stuff everyone else see's. Brundle and Coulthard are there at the venue so get a little more of what it is like there. Their commentary is different too. Varsha, Hobbs, and Machett are very good but a different take on the same thing opens a new view.

Did I mention there are NO commercials.

I like the sound of this. Was going to try it this week but the timing was a problem and I had to wait for the Fox broadcast. Maybe there's a way to record a live feed like that on my confuser's HD...?

Just to clear up one detail, are you saying there were no commercials? :D

If there are no commercials, when do you go to the bathroom and whatnot?

Yep....the BBC coverage does not have any commercials. And you can get it from lots of torrent sites afterwards if you wanted to.

I am usually not patient enough to wait and download the BBC coverage, but the few times that I have it has been a nice fresh look at the race.

I just want to know what the heck is a "whatnot" and why do you need a commercial for it?

I assumed it was a verb, describing what he did when he got to the bathroom - I suspect it's the same as **** but the ******* forum software doesn't ******* asterisk it out.

    Definition of whatnot by Webster:
: any of various other things that might also be mentioned <paper clips, pins, and whatnot>

In my application it could mean anything from making a sandwich to a quicky with the missus. Yes, Formula 1 makes me hungry and hot. All at the same time.
