Maldonado proved that he is more than just some Gentleman driver with a big wallet. He in no way backed into this win, he took it too them, leading the field and holding off one of, if not arguably the best active driver in F1!!
Bravo Mr Maldonado, you are an F1 winner!!! -

Coner Daly to test for Force India
Up and coming GP3 racer, Conor Daly, will enjoy his first taste of F1 power this week when he gets behind the wheel of the VJM05 on Thursday 17 May. The 20-year-old American driver will help the team with its aero testing programme, which takes place at Cotswold Airport in Gloucestershire.
Fresh from his race win during the opening round of the GP3 season in Barcelona last weekend, Conor visited the team's Silverstone headquarters on Tuesday for a seat-fit and to familiarise himself with the systems on the car. It was a chance to meet his engineering crew and run through the functions on a Formula One steering wheel.
The programme on Thursday is one of the full-size aerodynamic tests that teams are allowed to complete during the course of the season. The focus is to measure aerodynamic forces to correlate with wind tunnel data. -

I read a story where Webber said he thinks F1 fans don't want want multiple winners in a season, they want rivalry between drivers, like a couple rivals pulling away from the pack and fighting each other for the championship. I think that's the way it went, can't find the article right now.
I was going to say he's wrong but then remembered this might be another example of the difference between those of us who just like to watch good racing and those who care about the championship race(s). -
More teams and drivers winning, means more teams and drivers competing for the Championship. It's a WIN for F1 and definately a WIN for the fans on every level...
Stop puffing the funny stuff Webber and get up on the wheel!!! -
The more unpredictable the better, I feel. Heck even Bernie has whimsically said that he wished he could make it rain at every race just to liven things up.

A Williams Shurbbery
A Formula One-themed garden is one of three from Essex to have won gold medals at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
"The Williams F1 Story" by King & Co, based in Rayne, picked up the award in the Great Pavilion Awards for its collaboration with the grand prix team.
The display, with a full-scale topiary F1 car and pit crew, was designed to mark the team's 35-year history.
Grenada at Chelsea, of Woodham Walter, and Nazeing's Enterprise Plants also took gold in the category.
The King & Co exhibit has taken three years to cultivate at its Essex nurseries and includes a pit backdrop and car parts from the Oxfordshire-based team.

I'll bet he does it anyway, under an assumed name or something.....
You all see Alonslo on top of the charts for the first practice at Monaco?
Any predictions for the race? -
Button was quickest in Practice 2 but then it rained.
Massa was 3rd quickest...
I'd like to see Kimi win this one. 6 different drivers, 6 different constructors...Really toss the prognosticators for a loop. -

Someone definitely lit a fire under Massa! He was only a bit slower than Ferdy in the morning session too.
None of this matters till Sat morning anyway......we'll see then who has the bit between their teeth.
And I'm with Nathan, I think it's Kimi's turn...... -

The streets of Monaco may be the closest Kimi gets to anything like a rally stage this year. :biggrin5: He better make the most of it.

Conor Daly had a massive crash in the GP3 race today. Fortunately he climbed out of the car under his own power.
