Is there a live broadcast of quali today? Dvr is only showing a 12:30 re-broadcast.

 

My DVR shows the same. Looks like soccer takes precedence over F1???

 

I'm showing Belgian GP qualifying today from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM EST on NBCSHD (Direct TV Channel 220). The GP will air Sunday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM EST on the same network. Aside from replays, no other events, i.e., GP2, showing this weekend.

 

Yep, woke up to find out no live qualy today.....dammit

 

Live qualifying is just concluding as I write this. Replay of BGP qualifying at 1:00 AM EST on NBCSHD (Channel 220 on Direct TV). BGP is on the same channel at 8:00 AM EST on Sunday.

If you do not have Direct TV, I don't know your other options. Good luck - maybe you can catch the BGP qualifying replay before tomorrow's race.

 

Pissed me off too. At least the race was live.

 

I was OK with the delay. It was a fantastic qualifying & worth the wait.

 

That pass Vettel made so early & so easily was pretty amazing. The kid has bags of talent. I never thought Alonso would end up second, he had a great race.

 

Interesting article on f1technical on Red Bulls low down force wings and great use of exhaust for down force instead. It will be real interesting next year when the exhaust has to exist past the car.

 

Contains race spoilers, but it's still nice to see what changes to the cars there were. Especially Red Bull's super skinny rear wing.

Yeah......RB's "blown diffuser" is the class of the field right now.

I loved how Vettel's engineer told him on the radio at about the 10 lap mark to "quit it and save the tires" :biggrin5:

 

Has telling Vettel to slow down ever worked?

 

Not yet. Having to tell a driver to slow down is a pretty good thing me thinks. Beats trying to speed one up.

 

Unfortunately this has always been (modern era) and will continue to be a team sport, thus the team will have a plan that the driver will be expected to follow.
