Kimi and Seb are friends, so I doubt there'd be friction, but Kimi doesn't care one whit about labels, all he's going to do is go race as hard as he can, win as much as he can, and all the rest of the media inspired BS just doesn't matter.
I think it could be interesting for young Seb to have a real competitor on his team, one that can and will beat him from time to time, instead of one who starts most of his races in reverse.
Still, kudos to Mock Weeba for a good strong performance in Germany, even without the "help" from the safety car, he drove like a man about to retire who wants to leave with a strong finish, before an even stronger Finnish takes his place! :biggrin5:

This is the exact opposite of what they are doing today - give the teams tires that last only a small portion of the race to force pit stops. How bout going back to the '60s compounds/construction - give the teams tires they can run the whole weekend on FlatOut!-

I'm feeling sorry for Grosjean after this race. I agreed with the NBC commentators that it looked like he stayed legally on the track during his pass of Massa and didn't deserve that drive-thru penalty. Wondering whether those in charge were intentionally harsh because of his history.

Heck had Grosjean not gone wide he & Massa would have ended their race right there. Was I the only one that saw Massa going wide to try & close the door? His wing was an inch from the Lotus. Sorry folks a BS call by the race steward. Me thinks Grosjean is still being punished for past deeds.

I've run events with NASA and the Secret Sports Car Club for years, and I also like grass roots racing, but that takes nothing away from my appreciation of what the F1 circus brings to my TV.
Sure, some of the backroom wrangling is tiresome, but when the red lights go out, all that doesn't matter any more, and it's on, baby!
I also like NASCAR ( although I definitely enjoy the road course races the most), and I watch the Indycars too.
I've been to National drag race events (in fact I was at Heartland Park the day they broke the 300 mph record - years ago) and run my share of regional events.
I'm a fan of many types of racing, and they all have their positives, so I'll just leave it at that.
But one last comment, there's no way that Mock Webba would run a car with the top team for 4 years if it wasn't suited to him....it only took Kimi three races to get Renault to completely change the steering to suit him.-

This might be entertaining.
Mario Andretti will be in the NBC broadcast booth for the upcoming Italian GP. He's a bit skeptical, though, in one regard "...but I hate when people talk when I'm trying to watch a race.. could be a problem".-
