So, 5 teams had serious financial trouble this year, one won't get any TV money for finishing outside the top ten, and next year they're all expected to field an all new car with an all new engine and a completely different and more expensive KERS system......plus the engines and transmissions have to last longer than they did this year.
Sauber
Force India
Caterham
Marusia
Williams
Lotus
Will any of them survive to be on track next year, or will we be down to the current top runners...Reds Bull, Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and Toro Rosso because of Deiter Madeashitzloadofmoney?

I think Braun becoming part of Williams is a done deal.....makes sense too that he would wind up somewhere else, given the way Mercedes has been shouldering their way into "his" team this year. I figured it was only a matter of time, and I'm actually surprised he stayed for this whole season.
That said, I wonder if he'll have any influence on who they have as drivers next year - if he has a favorite who might follow him to Williams? -
Say goodbye to the Singapore Sling
Singapore’s F1 circuit will be a second per lap faster now the chicane has been removed, Fernando Alonso reckons. -

Was a preview of "Rush" last night. If you think this a true story about the '76 season sorry. Its a movie of the events from that year and a little about how Hunt and Lauda meet in F-3. They are not friends in the movie, as they were in real life. Hollywood!

So who do we like for Lotus now?
Massa or Hulkenberg? -

I think Hulkenberg has that fire burning in him to succeed. From my perspective that fire burned out long ago in Massa.

There have been some reports floating around that Michael Andretti would field and F1 team if customer cars were allowed.
Here is a great article on why that is a big fail. Why customer cars are a bad idea… | joeblogsf1 -
Kimi's move has a bunch of other folks moving around too. People we don't normally hear about.
Ferrari’s head of aerodynamics for the last four years, Nicolas Hennel de Beaupreau, is leaving Maranello and is expected to return to Lotus, where he worked previously. His place in Italy will be taken by South African Dirk de Beer, who has been leading the aero team at Lotus in recent year, after joining the team from Sauber. -

Doesn't Andretti have a team entered in Formula E?
I guess if he can't win as a driver in F1, maybe he can win as an owner......wonder who he would want as his driver? -

Well Marco of course. It's the only way he would ever get an F1 drive.

I don't think his team will treat him any different They are hoping he can snatch a few points in the rest of the season. Can't see him taking any points away from Fernando.

thanks. -
Instead we had English Premiere League Football -
First race in a long time I turned off.
I think the rest of this season is pretty much going to be the same, alas. -
Give us fans a break, in all sports there is a thing called "a no call," which is what the Barney Fife's of FIA should have exercised....
It was a great show of sportsmanship and a humanizing moment in an otherwise dry and technical race... -

/\ Agree..that said, did you hear Alonso's comment about making a gamble on strategy because as far as the championship is concerned, second or fifth didn't really matter?
Side note: Some of the best racing at Singapore was Webber's charge up through the field and to the podium just before his car went..how do they say it.....kaput?!!
