Mark Donahue referred to it as "the unfair advantage" gained within or by not being in the rule book. Tis racing.![]()

Hurricane is supposed to hit the Korean coast on sunday, just in time for the race. could be interesting......
-
Possibly the only force capable of stopping Vettel from claiming the #1 spot on the podium over Alonso and Hamilton.
-
HOW'S YOUR AERODYNAMICS WORKING NOW?????!!?!?
I kid, I kid. I hope only for rain. I used to live in SK, in Chonju, not too far from the circuit, relatively speaking. I hope everyone's OK and that there's no damage. Korea's no stranger to rain, but it's usually mid-summer we see the monsoons. -

So, who's going to come good in Yeongam this weekend?
this little tidbit popped up on Grand prix.com
"Red Bull is perfecting a "system" that is mimicking the effects of banned traction control, Germany's Auto Motor und Sport reported on Thursday.
The magazine said the complex electronic mapping system, although entirely legal, is able to put Renault's V8 engine down to just four-cylinders under certain circumstances."
think that might help in a hurricane? -
Yes.

I saw where Vettel was talking about their system but he was joking around because of all the fuss of an illegal system. But maybe the sarcasm didn't translate. -
It's gotta be some kind of arcane engine mapping, but damned if I understand how....

I thought with the ECU used they didn't have this kind of control?
-
So you think there is an ECU that can't be hacked....?

After reading some articles that discussed the incident it comes to light that the FIA did call for the fire suppression vehicle to be on track. Charlie Whiting just expected it to come from Turn 3 and not the front straight. The marshals were all waiving the White vehicle on track flags too. in the grand scheme of things they will look at how there happened and be better prepared in the future.

To what are you referring? The fire truck taking a lap out to Webba's car? or something else? Poor Webba, if it wasn't for bad luck, he wouldn't have no damn luck at all!
That was a fun race, especially from 4th on back......slicing and dicing like crazy, and I could not believe how strong the Sauber was out of turn 2 - neither could Hammy based on his radio!
Did Vettel get his 4th grand slam?
Tires, tyres, tars......still a problem for some teams, aren't they?
Vettel only needs 7 more points to clinch the championship, and I think the constructors is a done deal too....good job to the Reds Bull this year, they really took it to the other teams. -
Yep, the fire truck.
-
The way I see it, Lotus had the Manufacture's points in hand with 2nd and 3rd not matter who was in each position. Kimi still has a mathematical chance at the Drivers Championship if a meteor takes out Vettel's car. A rich team would probably toss more cash at Grosjean to salve the wound.
