Seems like to Bernie anything that hauls in big bucks is always justifiable...no matter who or what gets screwed along the way.

Is there a financially tenable middle ground where the sport itself takes priority? I don't know but I have a sense that Bernie doesn't care.-

Can you imagine the cries of favoritism for the boys in red that would ensue if Montezoomellow got the call?

Lauda screwed up Rahal's opportunity at Jag and killed that idea and now he'll kill Mercedes and get Brawn to leave or be removed. If he's not screwing someone he's complaining about everyone. If he really want to prove what he can do he should take over HRT and make it win.-

Honestly, I suspect Brawn's failures with Mercedes are probably not his fault, but with some process within Mercedes. You don't take a winning car designer, and winning driver and perform poorly unless something else in the equation is wrong, imo.

Mercedes probably isn't going to win with Hamilton at the wheel this year due to whatever endemic problems they have there, and next year I don't think they'll do any better with the new spec car than any other big team. The removal of Brawn isn't going to change that.

If I were Frank Williams I'd be on the phone with Brawn right now.

 My 2¢.-

In totally unrelated news, Eric Lux has increased Kimi Raikkonen's salary and asked him to "stick close by" whenever he's not driving. Additionally, the FIA ruled all champagne flutes must be plastic from now on. -

goaljnky New MemberSo, are we all collectively freaking out on the coverage and commentary NBC will be providing in two weeks? At least it looks like they will be providing more live coverage than Speed was able to. At least according to Wiki all practice sessions, quali and race will be covered live. -
