Interesting note from practice. It was observed that the soft tires were throwing off rubber as they were spinning leaving the pit box. With the abrasive track that could make for a lot of stops.
Good thing Pirelli went with a harder compound choice than originally planned then. Hungary doesn't get used much during the year, and it should clean up a little by race day. Though I've read that in the Silverstone testing it seemed teams had difficulty turning the Mediums on for front and back at the same time. Once they got the fronts working, the backs had past their prime. Should be interesting in a high-downforce circuit like Hungary. Should be very frustrating for Mercedes, which is a car that theoretically loves high-downforce, but hates heat, especially on the rear. 50°C on the track they say. Gonna be a baaaad weekend for them.
You don't know Russians. To some of them that's pocket change. Most likely he is just getting rid of the small bills.

Alonso's manager Luis Garcia Abad told BBC Sport there had been "no discussions" with Red Bull. He said a meeting between himself and Horner on Friday at the Hungarian Grand Prix was about Red Bull junior driver Carlos Sainz, who is also represented by Abad. I'm feeling sorry for Grosjean after this race. I agreed with the NBC commentators that it looked like he stayed legally on the track during his pass of Massa and didn't deserve that drive-thru penalty. Wondering whether those in charge were intentionally harsh because of his history.
