I think that fire was extinguished back in Hungary when that spring hit Massa. After that he did show flashes of brilliance, but no consistency.
There have been some reports floating around that Michael Andretti would field and F1 team if customer cars were allowed. Here is a great article on why that is a big fail. Why customer cars are a bad idea… | joeblogsf1
Kimi's move has a bunch of other folks moving around too. People we don't normally hear about. Ferrari’s head of aerodynamics for the last four years, Nicolas Hennel de Beaupreau, is leaving Maranello and is expected to return to Lotus, where he worked previously. His place in Italy will be taken by South African Dirk de Beer, who has been leading the aero team at Lotus in recent year, after joining the team from Sauber.
Doesn't Andretti have a team entered in Formula E? I guess if he can't win as a driver in F1, maybe he can win as an owner......wonder who he would want as his driver?
Massa warns Alonso: 'No more playing number two' Felipe Massa has warned team-mate Fernando Alonso that he will no longer support the Spaniard as a number two driver and says it's time he focused on himself. The Brazilian will leave Ferrari at the end of the year when he will be replaced by Kimi Raikkonen. With seven races remaining until that happens, Massa says he'll be 'looking after himself' after spending the past few seasons playing second fiddle. "I will not race for Alonso from now on," he told Brazilian broadcaster Galvao Bueno TV Globo. "Right from Friday at Singapore I'll be working for myself. "I will attack all the time, every lap. It's come the time to look after myself." The 32-year-old has been forced to move aside for Alonso on several occasions, even missing out on what would have been his first win in 29 races at the 2010 German Grand Prix. Speaking about the new pairing at Ferrari, Massa believes tempers will flare between Alonso and Raikkonen. "I know both Fernando and Kimi on and off the track and I rate them as excellent drivers, but I'm afraid they will collide when sharing the team. "I told the bosses to breathe as much as possible while they still can because it will be hard for them to breathe next season." Source: Massa warns Alonso: 'No more playing number two'
Massa should have shown a backbone long before this. I don't think Fernando has anything to worry about concerning Massa's new found backbone.
Good for Felipe. On the other hand (reading between the lines) he's implying that he'll get better results from now on. Sure it has to do with trying to impress some potential future team but if things continue to go as they have lately he might wish he'd kept his mouth shut.
....and without the team behind him his results will be sure to suffer. I understand that he is angry, but crapping where one sleeps never improves life, he should have bit his tongue till season end and let his results speak for themselves.
I don't think his team will treat him any different They are hoping he can snatch a few points in the rest of the season. Can't see him taking any points away from Fernando.

Anyone else miffed that F1 is getting short shrift yet again but now with NBC Sports? So much for all the great live coverage we are going to see.
Qualifying not shown live, not even shown at a time when most people are awake. It was moved to 1:00 AM with the race starting a mere 7 hours later at 8:00 AM. Instead we had English Premiere League Football
No discussion about the Singapore race? Oh yeah, every one that watched it is still asleep. yeah, it was that interesting.
First race in a long time I turned off. I think the rest of this season is pretty much going to be the same, alas.
FIA must have been bored too, to give Webber a ten place grid penalty for catching a ride back to the pits....Alonso got a slap on the wrest too... I thought it might possibly have been the highlight of the event....
I figured Webber would get some kind of penalty, but 10 grid spots what the hell??? For me Alonso picking up Webber was a high point in a yawner of a race. Wonder if Lotus will get slapped for having a non-properly attired Renault guy adding air to Romain's car.
