For those of you missing Will Buxton, he’s part of the official F1 YouTube channel now.

I refuse to pay for an F1 broadcast as much for the fact that the racing is so ridiculously not racing anymore, but I do watch it on regular google fiber, since I have it.

We have cable here. I won't be paying for an F1 TV broadcast. If it falls off the cable so be it.

We will see.. its on right now. I'm actually watching it on ESPN 2 right now (just turned it on). Usually I'm not around during the race and I pull it down.
HOLY Cow the amount of sparks coming from the ferrari down the straight. If that continues to happen Vettel skid plank will be gone.

It definitely was a nail biter there at the end, Vettel did masterful job with his tires, well done Seb!
And even more Kudo's to Gasly and Toro Rosso/Honda, showed big Mac a thing or two didn't they?
The mid pack was where all the action was, and all the passing, the mid is where it's at!

I enjoyed the race. Seb really did a masterful job of driving & keeping those tires under him. To me it was surprising that Bottas didn't try harder with his only attempt at a pass.

This year is shaping up to be a good one. Oh yes & Honda beats the Mclaren's. o_O

My take is if Bottas had gone in Seb would have let him have it as he didn't want a DNF. At least that is my take.

I know Hamilton sure would have gone in & banged wheels with Seb.

Seb did what he does best: Drive the F%&k out of old tires. He’s done it a lot. Best tire management of the lot.

That could be & it could also that his tires were screaming hot & able to pick up more rubber. They do look quite knackered.

Wow, it's Noah's Ark at the China GP tomorrow! 2x2x2......

Vetttel just pipped Kimi at the last second of Q3 to take pole, so the grid shapes up like this....

    Ferrari, Ferrari
    Mercedes, Mercedes
    Red Bull, Red Bull
    Everyone else

Red Bull did a fantastic job getting Danny Ricky Bobby's car repaired in time for him to get a lap in Q1 good enough to get him thru the rest of qually. Gotta wonder what's going on here, Red Bull is the only Renault powered team that's having issues, and yet Renault didn't have a complete motor ready to swap in when Riciardo's motor failed and they had to scramble to get enough components to build another motor - but they did a fab job.

Cold cold cold conditions tomorrow, but I thought the Ferraris were best in hot weather, seems they do OK in cold conditions too!

Vettel is absolutely making hay while the sun shines, if he wins tomorrow that should give him a healthy start to his 5th championship and put the Red Jammy boys back on top for a change.

The Hamster cracked off one hell of a lap in Q3 and I think he thought he had pole, but when both /Ferraris immediately bested his time, he just quit, didn't even finish his last qually lap.
Was he just being realistic, or was this bad sportsmanship? Seems like when he's on top he's king f the world, but when he's not he's like a spoiled brat (my humble opinion and worth exactly what you paid for it! :) )

Yes a slow pit stop, but after what happened in the last race it is understandable. That stop was one part, but Bottas putting in a blinder of a lap sealed Vettel's fate.

Why did it take them two laps to get the safety car out on the track? There was a lot of body parts spread all over. That cost Bottas the race win.

Maybe because they didn't want Mercedes to win ? I have a sneaking suspicion that Mercedes is sandbagging a bit so early in the season and can turn up the wick as the season wears on. Given the three engine limit, I suspect they are still "testing" to see if the engine will make it more than 7 races before letting them loose.

The first two races where Vettel won, I don't think the Ferrari's were the cars to beat in those races. Fortune smiled on them and they took advantage. Just like Red Bull in Singapore. The timing of those safety cars sure had great influence in the outcome of the races. It does, however show how close the top three teams are this early in the season.

Kind of reminds of 2012 where the first 7 races of the season was won by 7 different drivers. Unfortunately, F1 has evolved into 2 tier racing.

I would like to see a Sauber win a race, just to mix it up a bit. But they should win on merit.

Agreed - good season so far.. that said, I need to catch up on a few. Regarding Sauber (or Haas)... would love to see someone else be able to jump into the mix.. :D

So watching live is less than ideal, as with many early streaming services it pauses randomly. I expect they’ll fix that eventually.

Edited to Add - The F1 App is pretty cool though, live timing and decent “radio” coverage of the action, so you can see where the cars are, follow a specific driver, look at corner details, and have a good running plays by play with transcripts of the team radio, so that’s good.

The onboard video for the drivers seems to work fairly well, though since it’s just their view and the radio calls, there’s not a lot to watch during practice. It does seem cooler for post race sesssions if you want to see how your driver fought through the field to get into the points.

So yeah, it has some rough edges right now, but with luck I won’t have to hoist the pirate flag much longer.

The race wasn't even on cable TV in my area. Pre-empted by hockey. Okay, I like hockey, but pre-empting every sports channel with the IIHF tournament (which few in Canada really care about anyways) is overkill.
