That didn't stop TSN in Canada from putting commercials in during the race. But glad the end of the race was commercial free.
Just an FYI, while the race is broadcast commercial free, the rebroadcasts later in the day are not - they stop the tape so you don't miss anything, but you do get plenty of commercial breaks. So if you want to watch it straight thru, record the actual race not the rebroadcasts.
Yep, you're right...though it sure looks like Vettel's tires are a lot more degraded/marbly than Bottas. Maybe he was more worried about making weight...
That could be & it could also that his tires were screaming hot & able to pick up more rubber. They do look quite knackered.
On the lap after the flag was thrown he did go off the track at times of pick up David Hobb's favorite things.
Regarding the marbles... agree but I would have to be able to see more pics. If you look at the front tires, they are chafing. It does look like to me his tires were done. They look pitted to me. The car next to it - the fronts look cleaner. Granted could be camera angle. The rear is clearly picking up marbles.
Mr Buxton is at it again - You will probably have too watch this at YouTube’s Site or in their app - they don’t like embedded video.
Wow, it's Noah's Ark at the China GP tomorrow! 2x2x2...... Vetttel just pipped Kimi at the last second of Q3 to take pole, so the grid shapes up like this.... Ferrari, Ferrari Mercedes, Mercedes Red Bull, Red Bull Everyone else Red Bull did a fantastic job getting Danny Ricky Bobby's car repaired in time for him to get a lap in Q1 good enough to get him thru the rest of qually. Gotta wonder what's going on here, Red Bull is the only Renault powered team that's having issues, and yet Renault didn't have a complete motor ready to swap in when Riciardo's motor failed and they had to scramble to get enough components to build another motor - but they did a fab job. Cold cold cold conditions tomorrow, but I thought the Ferraris were best in hot weather, seems they do OK in cold conditions too! Vettel is absolutely making hay while the sun shines, if he wins tomorrow that should give him a healthy start to his 5th championship and put the Red Jammy boys back on top for a change. The Hamster cracked off one hell of a lap in Q3 and I think he thought he had pole, but when both /Ferraris immediately bested his time, he just quit, didn't even finish his last qually lap. Was he just being realistic, or was this bad sportsmanship? Seems like when he's on top he's king f the world, but when he's not he's like a spoiled brat (my humble opinion and worth exactly what you paid for it! )
Yes a slow pit stop, but after what happened in the last race it is understandable. That stop was one part, but Bottas putting in a blinder of a lap sealed Vettel's fate.
I was laughing at someone considering a 2.8 sec pit stop as slow........a 2.8 second anything is hardly slow!
Why did it take them two laps to get the safety car out on the track? There was a lot of body parts spread all over. That cost Bottas the race win.
Maybe because they didn't want Mercedes to win ? I have a sneaking suspicion that Mercedes is sandbagging a bit so early in the season and can turn up the wick as the season wears on. Given the three engine limit, I suspect they are still "testing" to see if the engine will make it more than 7 races before letting them loose. The first two races where Vettel won, I don't think the Ferrari's were the cars to beat in those races. Fortune smiled on them and they took advantage. Just like Red Bull in Singapore. The timing of those safety cars sure had great influence in the outcome of the races. It does, however show how close the top three teams are this early in the season. Kind of reminds of 2012 where the first 7 races of the season was won by 7 different drivers. Unfortunately, F1 has evolved into 2 tier racing. I would like to see a Sauber win a race, just to mix it up a bit. But they should win on merit.
