Here's some interesting insights on how to drive the new cars. Watch to the end. There are supposed to be other chapters coming in later races, I'll try to upload them as I can. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UERww7rsNQ"]Martin's Day out E01 - YouTube[/ame]

This is a bit of fun. Some slo-mo of drift during the 1971 South African GP. Best for me after about the 1min mark when they switch to the reverse camera angle. (almost didn't post because of the sound track but mute is always an option and yes, you may need to click through to vimeo to watch) https://vimeo.com/16472492
Something a little different here. The historic (1999) video I posted in the current year F1 thread made me want to watch the whole race. Unfortunately, the only version I can find on line isn't in English...so I decided to watch the qualifying session. So, here it is. Yes, it's just quali. I figured I'd click away quickly too but I watched a bit and I was hooked! It's the great Murray Walker and (I don't know...Brundle?) spewing all sorts of information. I got to relive all those great cars I loved to watch (incl. some I don't even remember), even the split-livery BARs (remember them?) and hear about the V10 engines and see the drivers I miss, Salo deputizing for an injured Shumacher and teamed with Irvine, qualifying format was different, backup cars, etc, etc... If you enjoyed those years, click and reminisce. Wonderful sounds & sights. I love the steering wheel with no game console & an honest to gosh gear shift. Man he was something.
Just a flashback photo, bit of a stretch for this thread but doesn't really fit well elsewhere. Look what's parked out front of the McLaren shop (1960s). And no, I don't mean the truck.
