    Eddie Cheever - Detroit 1982

Edward "Eddie" McKay Cheever, Jr. (born January 10, 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona) is an American racing driver who raced for almost thirty years in Formula One, Sports cars, CART and the Indy Racing League. Cheever participated in 143 World Championship Formula One races and started 132, more than any other American, driving for nine different teams from 1978 through 1989. In 1997, he formed his own IRL team and won the 1998 Indianapolis 500 as both owner and driver. The team now competes in sports cars.

This mis-matched set is roughly the last third of the 1987 Spanish GP. There's about a 2 minute overlap between the end of the first and the start of the second (the one marked Part 1).

Great, close racing between Senna, Prost, Piquet, Boutsen, Berger, etc, with Mansell largely ignored for quite a while because he's well ahead of the pack. It's actually only as close as it is -- 2nd through 6th or so -- because for a number of laps Senna (in 2nd) holds up a handful of others but even after that log jam breaks there's good stuff caused by the effect of bunching those cars together.

Piquet was unique, not popular but unique

Known as a practical joker, Piquet lived a stereotypically playboy racing driver lifestyle, earning and losing and earning again a series of small fortunes in his business dealings. One of the great characters of 1980s Formula One. He remains a competitive driver in sports car racing, albeit more for fun than with serious intent. He was critical of the Monaco Grand Prix by famously stating Monaco was like "riding a bicycle around your living room".[38]

Piquet entered into a first marriage with Maria Clara in 1976 with the marriage lasting for one year. They have one son, Geraldo Piquet (born 17 November 1977) His second marriage to Sylvia Tamsma produced three children, Nelson Angelo Piquet (born 25 June 1985), Kelly Piquet (born 7 December 1988), and Julia Piquet (born 8 May 1992). Laszlo Piquet was born in 1987, but his mother is Katherine Valentin.[39][40] He is currently married to Viviane de Souza Leão and they have two children, Pedro Estacio Piquet (born 1999) and Marco Piquet (born 2000).[39][40]

On July 31, 2007 Piquet, after repeated speeding and parking offenses, was stripped of his civilian driving licence and ordered by the Brazilian courts to attend a week of lessons in order to "learn good and safe driving conduct", and to then pass an exam. His wife Viviane received the same sentence. "I think we have to pay for our mistakes," Piquet told Brazilian media. "It's not just a speeding problem, I got tickets for all kinds of reasons, like parking where I shouldn't."[41]

He was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2000 and two racing circuits in Rio de Janeiro and in Brasília have been named "Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet".

I trying to find the videos where He jokes and critics Senna, some of them are breath taking, others are offensive but overtime they became funny. He was a temperamental dude.

    This is a true story:
"In 1992 Piquet visit a company that I worked for in Curitiba, his company was selling satellite track system for fleet of trucks. The group I used to work for owned the EuroImport in Curitiba a distributor of BMW and Porsche they were trying to start using Piquet's systems to track the BMW as part of deal for the BMW customers. I saw Piquet few steps away and I didn't have a courage to ask for his authograph affraid to hear something unexpected from his big mouth. So shame on me Today I could be posting my picture and autoghraph of a 3 times F1 world champion. BUT LIKE THE WISE MAN SAY : Who doesn't take risks doesn't enjoy the reward that comes along"

But at least I still that moment in my memory.

Senna as you've never seen before

Sometimes you need to do some stuff for a HONDA engine. But that is funny video.

    Emerson Fittipaldi was a pioneer

Not just the first Brazilian to be F1 world champion but to try to build a first Brazilian F1 race car that was called COPERSUCAR that is a union of two words COOPERATIVA (Cooperative) AÇUCAR (SUGAR) or Cooperative of Sugar. But the project ended in 1982.

"Copersucar S.A. é a maior cooperativa brasileira de açúcar e álcool e um dos maiores exportadores do mundo."
"Copersucar S.A. is the biggest Brazilian cooperative of sugar and alcohol and one the biggest exporters of the world"
