It looks like the Android support is on the F56 only. All the articles I've read on the F56 seem to mention they finally added Android support.

The information MINI USA released yesterday only mentioned the F56 and said the MINI Connected App and MINI Connected-ready Apps supplied by third-party providers will work with both the iPhone and Android phones. I can't believe MINI will let its other models go very long without connectivity for both operating systems.

Unfortunately, BMW has said it likely won't be bringing the 1 Series to the U.S. I guess i'll have to settle for an M2.

Have you ever heard the story about the parents who hung a pork chop around their kid's neck?

Just took a closer look at the pictures of the dash. From the left they look to be back up sensor and auto on/off. Then the starter, then DSC then something else. I don't see front or rear fog anyplace. :confused5:

there has been talk for some time about android connectivity...in fact BMW Connected uses android...and the systems are essentially the same now so it stands to reason there isnt alot of hard work to figure this out...in fact most of android dev's could have solved this in a weekend...10 to 1 says all they do is just port the apple app over to android...all the app is a way to turn on the data connection and aggregate all of the phones systems and slave them to the dash

More likely radar based than cameras Jim. One less thing to pay attention to while one drives. I think paying attention makes for better drivers, but what do I know.

The FAA is looking into pilots using the auto everything too much. They believe pilots are losing their edge & flying skills are declining.

What say ye pilots about this?

The write up on MF says "camera" based. Took awhile to find it, but it towards the bottom of the write up.
